An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
We had The Renovators of Canada take on our main bathroom renovation after they were recommended by a co-worker. As promised, they were exceptional in every way. Very organized, worked to a schedule, kept our home clean and the whole process as painless for us as possible. Every tradesperson that worked on the job was pleasant, tidy and clearly very good at what they do. When unexpected issues came up (as they do when you're gutting an old Riverdale home) our project manager was quick to provide options for us to choose between so the work never slowed down. We used another (cheaper) renovator on a previous job and I can confirm that you do, indeed, get what you pay for. TROC is somewhat more expensive to work with, but you have the assurance of quality work on a good schedule. We'll definitely be calling them for our next job. Would highly recommend.
