I was referred to Michael at Riverwalk by a close friend who is one of the very best, high-end landscape contractors in Toronto. The reason for the referral was that my friend couldn’t accommodate our tight timeline to get the job completed. Michael showed up on-time and prepared for our very first face-to-face meeting. The scope of work was to replace all walkways around the entire house and to construct a new stone patio in our backyard. Together we worked through the selection process of choosing the best stone for the job and the best color to match the house. He then explained in detail what he would do, and why. I found his pricing to be very competitive. The job was scheduled and work began on the date promised. Their workmanship was meticulous and the jobsite was left in order at the end of each day. This was important both to me and my tenants. Most importantly, Michael was on-site every day, not only to work but to ensure that work was going according to plan. Often, the owner of the company gets the contact signed and never passes by to see how the project is progressing. I own other properties and have had many experiences with different trades. When you find a trade that does excellent work (and many don’t) you guard them with your life. What I also like about Michael and his crew is that they’re good, honest people and are a pleasure to deal with. If something might not be his core competency, he’ll tell you straight up. Over the years, I’ve worked with three other landscape companies. Michael’s company Riverwalk is now my landscape contractor of choice. I trust them and when you have trust, you don’t want to risk going elsewhere. I am currently working with them on Phase 2 of this project, and he’ll eventually be doing my own home. Lastly, I already have, and will continue without hesitation, recommending his company to homeowners looking for an excellent landscape contractor.

I've used Mike at Restoration 1 - Brampton three times. In this instance, a roof that had not been completely sealed up resulted in rain seeping into a ceiling and then through an exterior bedroom wall. I called Mike who always answers his cell. He was there in 90 minutes; an excellent response time given it was a weekend and my property was in downtown Toronto. He assessed the situation using a special device used to determine moisture content in surfaces. We discussed what needed to be done. Once the go ahead was given, the work began immediately. A long red mat is rolled out from the front door to the exact room where the work takes place. The room floor is then covered up with a plastic tarp and then the room is perfectly sealed up to prevent air and dust from escaping. All damaged drywall was removed and industrial fans and dehumidifiers are set-up to run. As usual, the place was left cleaner than when he'd arrived. Being a landlord, I need excellent trades in my back pocket - highly knowledgeable, trustworthy, dependable, fast and fair. Mike isn't a sales person. He's more like a surgeon, and excellent at what he does!!! I won't use anybody but Mike at Restoration 1 - Brampton and would not hesitate to recommend him to absolutely anyone needing this type of service.

My wife and I own a 2750 sq. ft. condo that has granite and marble surfaces. When the material was installed, we were never told how to properly care for these surfaces. Over time, the surfaces began to discolor and the mirror finish was beginning to dull. I knew that there were companies that could bring new life into these surfaces but didn't know anyone I could trust. A while later, a wrapped truck with Marble Clinic appeared at our condo building. I decided to find out whose unit they were working in and called the owner for a reference. The person gave a glowing review. The owner had hired another company once before but found Marble Clinic's work to be far superior. I decided to book an appointment for a quote. The owner showed up and explained in great detail how the process would work. He told me what could be done which gave me a great level of comfort and at the same time, managed my expectations. I booked the work. A couple of real gentleman showed up on-time, took the proper precautions of covering up what didn't need to be cleaned and did an absolutely incredible job!!! I will use this company again and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for high quality workmanship at a very fair price!

Nothing better than trades and service providers you can count on. I had Brock replace all the windows of my 1908 Palmerston Blvd house about 6 years ago. They did a great job and they still look great. When I needed a new door for one of the units, I didn't think twice about calling back Brock. My rep for the windows was Kevin who has since been promoted to Sales Manager, which in itself is a testament to the quality of the employee and the desire for him to grow with the company. My job was handed over to Brian, who also did an excellent job. Door looks great and pricing was what it needed to be. Thanks everyone!

My house on Palmerston Blvd in The Annex is over 100 years old and had holes in the chimney. I'd called another chimney company whose name I got from HomeStars. I was going to go with them but decided to get a 2nd quote. My 70-year old roofer with a world of experience told me to call Guy Bowman. Excellent trades typically recommend one another. Guy's quote came in a fair bit less than the first quote probably because the first guy gets a commission and factors that in. Guy's quote was also more detailed. His crew was super-polite, friendly, knowledgeable and considerate of the property, both inside and outside. Everything was covered up to ensure nothing got damaged. I've already referred a neighbor to Bowman Masonry and hope to use them to rebuild a garage on another property.

Finished a full reno of an apartment. Had changed the HVAC filter 4 times during the reno so knew the ducts were a disaster. Found CanaDuct on HomeStars and called. Called three companies and their price was the lowest but I had additional work done which brought the price up. Was advised by the company an hour ahead of time that they'd be delayed. Paul showed up with another gentleman and promptly got to work. All vents removed. HVAC system and all ducts cleaned. They vacuumed up whatever excess landed on the floor. Before and after photos showed positive results. Best of all, no damage to the place! Will use them again and recommend them to those looking for a duct cleaning company.
