Be very careful taking things in for repair! You will a) be forced into buying something new because they are sure if they can repair it, b) will never hear from them until you call to find out the status of your repair only to learn that they threw out your item without contacting you because they decided not to try and repair it, c) they will patronizingly tell you not to be upset because they unilaterally made a decision on your behalf without contacting you regarding the decision they were making.

Hickory Dickory Decks - North York recently removed our old pressure treated deck and replaced it with a new composite deck. Our original plan was to simply resurface the old deck but during the quoting process HDD-NY provided us with a proposal to slightly enlarge the surface. They took care of the drawings, permits and inspections. During construction they were very considerate and conscientious and kept the construction area as neat and safe as possible. At the outset they estimated that from tear down to finished product should be about a week and they kept to this timeline despite some weather challenges and unforeseen repairs that were required to the grading of the ground where the deck was to be built. All the paperwork - quotes, drawings, warranties, etc. - was very precise and clearly presented. We are thrilled with our new deck and looking forward to enjoying it for many years to come!
