We are very impressed with the work of Ontario Basement Lowering, who we had lower our basement in spring 2012 . Chris and his team finished the job on time, on budget, and as efficiently as possible, which we very much appreciated. We received a few quotes for the job and Chris’ was in the middle. What differentiated him from all the other companies we called, however, was his knowledge of the job and ability to explain to us the scope of work and our options. This gave us comfort in Chris’ experience ability to execute. We were very pleased he was able to meet all of our demands before, during and after the job, and offer us cost-saving suggestions where possible. We felt we got very good service for the money. For us, it was the little things Chris and his team did very well that mattered: The free quote and the multiple site visits he put in up-front before asking us for any money or to sign a contract; arranging other professionals to help in the early stages of work, getting the plans created and submitted to the City; Chris was always on time for our meetings and very responsive by email, phone and text, always pleasant and personable. We must make special mention of Chris’ crew. They showed up to our house early every morning ready to work, and were friendly, polite and respectful to us and our neighbours. The crew appeared to have good morale, which we attribute to having a good boss. We were impressed with the condition they left our house in at the end of the day during construction. Every day the jobsite was thoroughly swept, tools put away, everything was organized efficiently, and was made as safe as possible. We were pleased with the other professionals Chris recommended to us, some of whom we used, some we didn’t. They were all knowledgeable and gave us good ideas and suggestions on how to complete various aspects of the project. Overall we were impressed by how quickly and efficiently the job was completed. There were no surprises, no work left outstanding, and we are completely satisfied with the job Chris and his crew did. We are happy to offer Ontario Basement Lowering a very high recommendation. After getting three quotes to replace all 18 windows in my 1904 three-storey house, Ambia's was by far the most competitive. I got wooden frames for the five windows at the front and the remaining were vinyl. The installers came on the date planned and took only two days to retrofit all 18 windows. They all fit nicely and very little damage was done to the outer frames. My only suggestion would be for the installers to take a bit more time to clean up the sawdust and debris from the sills. I would definitely recommend this company.

George inspected my house and fully explained my options for installing a gas line for a new BBQ. He installed the gas connection quickly and expertly. A pleasure to work with.

Jose and High Park Electrical lived up to the high expectations set by previous reviews on this website. Jose and two of his electricians worked steadily for approx. 2 weeks to completely re-wire almost every room in the house and install new wiring for overhead light fixtures in almost every room. I was amazed at how little damage was done to the walls and ceilings considering they had to install wires where they had never been conceived in my 100+ year old house. The work was done on time and on budget.
