I had been helping my cousin organize her move from a condo in the Don Mills/Sheppard area to her new apartment in Peterborough. One of my tasks was to find the best movers I could and to hire them. Homestars led me to the answer, and the answer was "Tender Touch Movers". When the big day came, I optimistically mounted my moped for the last of 24 round trips trips from the heart of the city to what I consider (HA Ha)the far reaches of civilization in the Don Mills/Sheppard area. When just south of York Mills and Yonge things went terribly wrong very quickly...Did the miscreant who switched lanes without a signal, thereby forcing me to crash land to avoid being road kill even see me? I'll never know and neither will the police who scanned traffic cameras for evidence. A long story short: with stitches, broken glasses, many cuts and scrapes and more painfully speaking the agony of broken ribs, I was released from North York General Hospital and cabbed my way to my Cuz's place, late, nervous and feeling guilty for not being there on time for the final steps. Oh, did I mention the pain? I needn't have worried about anything other than myself... Imagine! Even without my hand at the tiller, Boss Elvis and hard working Freddie and Christian had some how managed to get along without me! I collapsed into one of the last remaining chairs and watched as the guys finished up the job. Soon it was all over at this end, and a relative drove me back downtown so that I could start enjoying the special pain that comes with broken ribs, confident that the move in at the Peterborough end would go well. It did... Moped? One broken mirror. Me? Not so good; some day I may be able to cough without fainting, and perhaps even be able to lay down instead of "sleeping" sitting up at my couch. How would I have felt if Tender Touch had not been as efficient and professional as they proved to be, cannot be expressed. I was the only thing broken on this move! Special thanks to babes Maria and Erika at the office; they obviously run the whole show. In conclusion, I would highly recomend Tender Touch. And further, if you ever have a choice about whether or not to break your ribs; I vote NOT. If you ride any form of two wheeled device, remember how invisible you are; things get bad very fast! Thank you Homestars and Tender Touch.
