I have had issues with the temperature in my home since I moved in almost 7 years ago. The upstairs (master bedroom and ensuite bath in particular) was much cooler in winter and warmer in summer then the main floor. The people I hire to clean the furnace would say that it is just the way it is, try closing some vents in basement (that was useless) or get a blower for the duct to push more air upstairs (expensive and rarely works). More than a year ago at my last furnace cleaning a different serviceman actually took the time to look more closely at my HVAC system and determined that the duct to upstairs bath was not even connected. He had trouble finding where it ended in basement. But that explained why no air would come through the duct. But that company does not deal with ductwork so I had to find someone who does. So I did some research on HomeStars and found Aeroseal Tech. I was skeptical only because I had never seen so many 10 star reviews for one company without a negative one. I called and spoke to Victor to explain the situation. He came to my home to do an inspection and recommended the sealing process to seal the gaps and holes in the duct work and modify the ducts to maximize the air flow using their diagnostic tools. Victor is courteous and knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what they do and answer all questions. In addition, he discovered the duct that leads to ensuite bath in basement that was left unattached by the builders. He gave me a quote for the sealing and the duct repair and I accepted. Within a few weeks he and his crew came and did the job and repaired the ensuite duct in basement by attaching a new pipe to the main duct. Overall I am very happy with the work. My upstairs has been considerably warmer in winter and cooler in summer and much closer in temperature to the main floor. Particularly in the master bedroom and ensuite bath. One reason I waited about 8 months to write my review is because I wanted to go through a winter and summer cycle to see if it actually made a difference and yes it did. Moreover, I wanted to see if it would make a difference in my gas and electric usage bill. I did notice a slight savings. I'm deducting one star for this reason: the cost. It did seem a bit high as I have an average sized 3 bedroom townhome. It was a fair price to repair the duct. And that was what made the biggest difference in that bathroom. The job takes his team less than a day to complete and there are not a lot of materials involved. The cost for the sealing of the ducts and adjusting the flow to maximize airflow is entirely for comfort and it is unlikely you could recoup those savings through energy costs unless you live in your home for decades. This is mainly about making your home more comfortable. So if your home has air flow issues and you have the money to spend, and you want a more comfortable home then I would certainly recommend Aeroseal Tech.

I hired Clean and Clear to do a thorough cleaning of my mother's home while she was away for funeral. I explicitly told the representative, who was friendly and always replied to email, what I wanted done which was a deep cleaning of the entire home, including the kitchen applicances and steam cleaning of the upholstery and couches. I received an excellent quote so I went ahead with the project. The price was too good to be true and I should have realized that. They came to clean on a Monday. I went to inspect the home and the deep cleaning was terribly done (eg. they didn't touch the interior or exterior of stove) and no steam cleaning occured. I emailed the rep to see if the cleaners were coming back to complete the work. Even he thought perhaps they went for a break. Turns out they said they were done. The rep was extremely apologetic, offered a discount and promised to have a different crew do the job the next day. I returned the following day to see the job they had done. They certainly did a better job than the first crew but still it was the deep cleaning I paid for (eg windows still dirty/light switch not touched) and again no steam cleaning. I took pictures of the couches and area rug before and after. No change. I sent the pictures to the rep who could not believe what he saw. He said his cleaners did the best they could and the work was done. This was clearly not the case as evidenced by the pictures. I told him I did not want his crew to come back and I would hire a different company to do the steam cleaning. He agreed, was apologetic, and gave a further discount. For that reason alone I am giving 2 stars instead of zero. The reviews here seem great for the outdoor cleaning of eavestroughs and the like. Clearly this company does not know how to clean the interior of homes yet. I most certainly would not recommend this company for home cleaning.

I discovered Exclusive from a friends reference. And I also checked out the amazing.reviews. They are accurate. Fedri is an absolute pleasure to deal with. He answers all your questions and is a quick and informative communicator. He arrived on time and worked very hard to make sure my mother’s carpets and upholstery were cleaned to perfection. Fedri is definitely passionate about his work and it really shows in the work he performs. And his prices are very reasonable and on par with other companies. I would highly recommend Exclusive Home Services for all your steam cleaning needs and I will only call on Fedri if I need the service again.

D'Angelo and Sons were contracted to do a number of roofs in our townhouse complex. I met with the sales rep. He was very professional and accommodating. He gave me a reasonable quote and told me approximately when the project would begin. They also offered 0% financing for 1 year for a portion of the cost which was very helpful. The workers gave notice when they would begin the project and it was within the time specified. Scott and his team were very professional and did an outstanding job replacing the old shingles and installing the new ones within a day. They also did an amazing job of cleanup. I did not find a single piece of shingle debris or nails on my entire property. What I also appreciated, was that they did not try to upsell me anything else. The job was done on time and on budget with no hidden fees or extra charges. If you need roofing work, I would highly recommend D'Angelo and Sons roofing and would use them again if I ever need roofing or any other work that they perform.

Rob at Sounds Good was a pleasure to deal with from the very first call. I was moving into a new home and just needed him to install a home theater/surround sound system that I had already purchased. Rob went out of his way to schedule me in the morning before he was going to go away! When he arrived on time to do the job, he made suggestions that I had not considered. Rob clearly knows his stuff and it shows in his work. After he finished the installation, he took the time to show me how everything works. He also did an amazing job of cleaning up. The price was also slightly below his original quote as he had not had to opportunity to see the place before he took the job. Overall fantastic work and I would highly recommend Sounds Good! I would use his services again if I ever need home theater installation.

We hired Decorators Choice to paint our house on recommendation of a friend when we moved about 8 years ago. When we moved again this past August, we hired Ed and his crew to do some touch ups at our old house and paint most of the rooms at our new house. Ed is not only a fantastic painter, but he is also a pleasure to deal with; always accomodating your every request and making suggestions where necessary. His prices are reasonable and unless you need extra work (which he will discuss with you before he goes ahead with it) he charges exactly what he quotes and does the job on time. Also, Ed does a great job of cleaning up when the job is all done. We would highly recommend Decorators Choice for all your painting needs.

We recently moved from Oakville to Burlington. We needed to clear some clutter first, so we hired Bronte movers to first pack up a few of our items and store them on pallets. Then on the day of the move they brought the items from storage, put the rest of our stuff in the truck and delivered all the items to our new house. We were very impressed with their professionalism and we managed to stay within the quote even though we stored more items then we were originally quoted for. Great job! I would highly recommend them.
