We were working with time pressure and a difficult family situation involving an elderly relative. Tony and Crystal and their team worked patiently with us through the process and were very responsive and accommodating. They were able to work independently and meticulously. They replaced a number of sills, evaluated for any structural issues and repaired several areas of crumbling brick and mortar. They worked hard to match the brick which is no longer available and took care in determining the mortar colour. Given the questions around structure there was ample opportunity for them to take advantage of the situation but they were very honest and gave the all clear with no additional costs. I would recommend this team in a heartbeat.

Discovered a red squirrel entering a hole in our soffit. Although this isn't an emergency from a pest removal company perspective, to us it was something we wanted gone immediately or sooner :) . So we called a few companies - one wanted to come in 6 days and another still hasn't returned our call but Ken from Gotcha called us back quickly and was at our house within a couple of hours. He removed the nest and repaired 2 points of entry. We also chose to do a bit of extra prevention around some roof vents. It wasn't a necessity and there was no pressure to do that work - It just helps us sleep better knowing there is no worry about reentry - so that extra cost is not refected in the price paid. Ken was responsive, highly professional and fast. Call Gotcha if you have a wildlife problem. You won't be sorry!

Beautiful job! Excellent price and Paul spent quite a bit of time discussing our concerns around huge icicles in winter. Clean, polite crew. Showed up right on time and finished in a day and half as promised. Perfect cleanup. Very happy.

Hired from door to door contact - came at exactly the appointed time. Cleaned all exterior windows in two story home. They even did one window that was bhind a broad rose bush -- can't believe they did that one! Windows were thoroughly cleaned and done with Rainex so should be clean and clear for awhile. Price was very reasonable - service was wonderful - team was pleasant and professional. Would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Researched this purchase to death before we made the calls for estimates. Coincidentally our 14 yr old air conditioner died at the same time which then put some urgency to the timeline. Northwood was highly recommended and really knew their product. Their estimate was competitive and they squeezed us into their installation schedule. The installation team was fantastic. They explained thoroughly a couple of modifications they needed to make. And they left the basement clean as a whistle when they were done. The office team was also very helpful and professional when the time came for finalizing the payment. After a few weeks with no air conditioning in the midst of a hot spell we were thrilled to finally turn on the new air conditioner and couldn't believe how quickly and beautifully the house cooled off. So they clearly recommended the correct size A/C unit for our home. Very happy so far and the warranty is exceptional so we are confident heading into the winter. ______________________________ UPDATE: Here we are on Dec 29th with no heat and freezing temperatures outside. The temperature in the house is falling fast and despite calling this morning, Northwood tells us "Sorry" can't send anyone til tomorrow. I consider no heat on a freezing day to be something that warrants an urgent service call. So my family gets to freeze for the rest of the day AND overnight. Thanks a lot Northwood.... This kind of subpar service is what moves a company into the unacceptable category. VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. Stay away from Northwood - lots of companies can install the furnace but it is what you encounter on the freezing day when you have no heat that you need to worry about and Northwood has just failed miserably.

Asked Dave to come for an 8 hour session and we prioritized what needed to be done. Dave worked according to the list and everything he touched sparkled. He even cleaned things we didn't realize needed cleaning (inside of cupboard doors which had years of buildup but were never visible for cleaning... grooves in the metal flooring bridge now are silver instead of black...) Dave even emptied the crumb try from our toaster!! Top this off with a fantastic, positive personality. We are so impressed we have already booked him for semi-regular return visits! Thanks Dave!

Busy hectic life, sick elderly relatives and long work hours left little time to clean. I hesitated to engage a cleaning service as I've always heard the good cleaners are all booked up and those that can take you on are generally no good. I stumbled upon Maret's excellent reviews on homestars.com and thought it sounded too good to be true but would give it a try anyway since I was drowning. Maret came and provided a thorough and professional estimate explaining why it would take the time estimated and telling me she would take the stress away. We made the booking and Maret fit us into a tight schedule in order for us to have a sparkling home for planned pool party. Maret and her team arrived sharp at the promised hour and they professionally set to work. I have never seen such hard workers. I didn't see anyone let up for an instant... they were go, go, go.... Every surface, every baseboard, every blind were all sparkling when the team was done. We have a mirror wall and I can never get it clean and streakfree no matter how much elbow grease I apply. This entire wall shone. (My boys have been warned that they don't want to be the culprits to add the first fingerprints to the mirrors!) I can't say enough about the team, their professionalism and the incredible results. I wish I had done this ages ago! Maret also stood by her estimate. Thanks so much !!!!!
