Rhoan responded to my service enquiry very quickly, he's very friendly, professional and was knowledgeable about my older alarm system that needed a repair and update along with providing me with wireless access on my cellphone. I now have an upgraded system that meets our needs and works again. Rhoan and Sheldon came onsite, did the work very quickly, great guys, very helpful, helped setup on my camera system to my cellphone as well. I would highly recommend Rhoan and his team, it was very good value for the money.

MLGD has great reviews on HS, I rely on the site for many renos at the house. Steve was great, patient, helped us choose the right door for our house (walnut carriage style with frosted windows). Price was very competitive, installation was clean and smooth, I can't believe how quite the new door is, over the old one! I would recommend Steve to anyone looking for a new garage door.

Don and his crew were very professional and courteous, made some adjustments to the height of our window well during the installation of an egress window in our basement. The clean up could have been better but overall I would recommend them for any basement/foundation work you might have.

Kris did my neighbors weeping tile a few years ago, he was happy so I called him myself. Kris came by the house to talk about what we needed before we finish our basement (our house was built around 1954), we've had a couple of small basement leaks over the last 8 years so we wanted to do this right. Kris has been doing this for many years, his experience, patience and insight was obvious, he offered some sound guidance and advice for this project, his pricing was extremely competitive and we felt it was great value for the work we had done. The project lasted about 1 week start to finish, he did an excellent job during the excavation and completion of the project, they also put in a new garage slab which was desperately needed. We are very happy with the outcome of this project and can highly recommend Kris before waterproofing your own basement.

I found Niall on homestars, he had some great reviews and I liked the pictures of his work, I think we share the same style sensibility. I left him a message and he returned my call right away, we made an appointment and he showed up on time as I appreciate starting out on the right foot. Niall showed me some more photos of other projects and I liked the ideas he suggested for our back room as we had some challenges tying it into the rest of our home. His rates were good, but more importantly I felt like I was getting good value for money and I can say with confidence that Niall really has a talent for painting and design. I was happy with his work but, my wife was ecstatic with the finished product. Happy wife, happy husband. They left our house clean as a whistle, I am going to use him for our upcoming basement reno. I highly recommend Niall especially if you're having some challenges picking out colors or trying to compliment one room to another.

You can't do much to differentiate a bin rental but Chris and his team managed to do it. We negotiated a very good price for a 14yd bin, he was friendly and responsive(I found him on home stars) they were about 20% cheaper than the last bin I rented from someone else. They dropped off the bin when they said they would, no damage to the driveway, let me have it for a couple of extra days (6 or 7 in total) and picked it up with no problems. I would gladly use them again and recommend them with confidence!

Steve was really good at returning my calls and stopping by to quote things out and show me some samples (the other well reviewed guy on this site didn't want to drop by, basically told me they started at about $7.00 a foot and went up from there and to call if I wanted to get started). Steve's price was easily the best from the discussions I had with competitors. Sascha and his crew came by a few times, rain made it a little drawn out but overall they were available when I was. Very friendly guys, I added a few things along the way with no problems, they had good suggestions to tackle some challenges which turned out very well (stairs, transition pieces etc.). Overall the value is amazing, you get a lot for the money and it looks really finished off my reno's very nicely. I would use them again and recommend them to my friends.

I did a lot of my renos myself and upon final painting I realized that certain finishing touches need a professional hand. I could see the seams in the ceiling of my living room and kitchen and it needed to be re-skimmed and sanded. I found Jardel on HomeStars, they had some glowing reviews and he got back to me promptly. He came by for an estimate when he said he would and we negotiated a fair price for the living room ceiling although he pointed out some blemishes in my kitchen as well. Once he got started I asked him to touch up a couple of spots in our bedroom and bathrooms as well. Jardel completed all the work over a few days and we are very happy with the end product, looks 1000 times better than before and believe me I'm picky. I can say with confidence that Jardel is very knowledgeable, takes pride in his work and offers tremendous value for money. I told him to use me as a reference anytime and I would recommend him to friends and family.

My neighbor suggested Demetris to refinish our floors and I take his recommendations seriously (he used Demetris in the past). Demetris came by for a quote (very reasonable) and scheduled some time a few weeks later. Once I lifted the carpets the floor had some serious stains and a couple of areas that needed serious patching (an old bedroom had been turned into a dinning room so the wall, closet, floor vent and a step had been patched with plywood, thankfully I had some original pieces of flooring leftover from another part of the house) quite frankly I was concerned. Demetris had a look and told me he could do a very good job covering everything up, if fact he did an awesome job, seamless with the patches and we used a dark stain on the oak floors for a very rich look, almost like new but with real character. I would highly recommend Demetris to friends, family and to you. He is a very nice guy as well, worth every penny and believe me, there are tons of people out there that will charge you way more and still do a poor job.

Bought a skid of travertine tile and the pricing was incorrect, fought with them for a while but they actually came through with a refund of the difference. Still, the tile was inconsistent (about 25% was unusable as a full tile, used for off-cuts). Bought a second skid of filled travertine, 360 SF and it was about 3 distinct different colors (dark brown, orangey brown, light creamy). Thankfully it was about twice as much as I really needed because there was about 30% that was totally unusable. I was able to use one shade in the shower, one for the rest of the bathroom and one shade for the powder room downstairs. I can't stress this enough, bring a calculator with you, figure out the math for yourself(price & square footage etc.), do not assume their in-store signs are correct. Really inspect the skid you are taking to confirm the product is consistent with your expectations. Other than that, the prices are really good if you feel you have received what you expected. Their prices on sealer was pretty good as well. Good luck.

Found A&A online, spoke with Andy, he came by when he said he would (nice surprise) and he was personable and patient. Looked around the house, pointed out all the areas that needed some work, explained the process for digging out the old mortar and replacing with new. Landed on a price which included a few little extras like the planters and the widow sill (didn't nickel & dime me). A couple of weeks later the weather cooperated and Joe came by to start the work. Really friendly young guy, started with the chimney, asked if I liked the shade of mortar (it was a little dark) replaced it with a better shade, matched very well once it dried. Joe did great work, cleaned up nicely, they even came back later in the day to get the window sill that we both missed while he was there. Definitely a reputable company, solid work, delivered on what they promised, friendly service at fair rates. Hope this helps. Chris
