The final invoice closely resembled the original quote provided by Mr. Fenner. Rick communicated progress and explained the process so I was always aware of what was happening and why. The final surface finish sculpted by contractors Arja and Andy reflects their considerable skill and experience. Bradley, the concrete sealer contractor, explained how I could undertake annual sealing and where to obtain the necessary equipment and supplies. Here are the reasons why I am confident that Concrete Replacement Experts was a good choice to replace my 44 year old driveway and RV pad: 1. Quote was accurate 2. They removed ALL the sand under the old driveway and replaced it with gravel crush that was fully compacted 3. Rebar was securely positioned to stay in the centre of the concrete pour, not sag to the ground 4. Rebar was solidly attached to the house foundation so the new pad won't sink relative to the foundation 5. The concrete pour was 5+ inches as promised 6. Alberta Water Pros recently replaced the main water shut-off valve that was just beginning to fail. Work had to be coordinated with Epcor who shut the water at the property line. Everything was completed in the time frame promised with no extra charges or surprises. More importantly, I have been using Alberta Water Pros for many projects during the past few years including running gas lines and installing a natural gas furnace in the garage and a natural gas stove in the kitchen as well as installing a sewage back-flow valve. Quality of work is exceptional, pricing is competitive, work is always done on time and Dave and Mary are a pleasure to deal with. I wouldn't consider using anybody else for my plumbing and gas fitting needs!

Having had a good flooring experience with Aktas on another project, I asked them to bid on re-flooring all three levels (1,800 sq. ft.) of my 40-year old principal residence. This renovation called for hardwood on the two main levels, broadloom in the bedrooms and tile in the laundry, en suite and in front of a wood burning fireplace. As with the first project, the quotation was prompt and competitive. More importantly, the owner made two site visits prior to work beginning and was on site at the start of each work day to ensure that everything was proceeding as expected. Work was completed one day ahead of schedule. There were no extra costs or charges. And the workmanship was excellent. In particular, transitions from one flooring type to another were all perfectly level and even. 100% satisfied.

Aktas Flooring recently completed a flooring installation that included ceramic tile, carpet and laminate flooring. Pricing is competitive and workmanship is very high quality: even grout lines, clean tile cuts and precise transitions between the 3 different types of flooring. In addition to the quality of installation, Aktas earned a high rating for two other reasons: work was completed on time and on budget and more importantly, they consulted with me when the installation encountered some unforeseen issues. Specifically when the tile pattern that was chosen resulted in an almost imperceptible variation in tile height, they stopped work to contact me. They recommended a change to the pattern that resulted in a completely uniform tile surface that in my opinion denotes a high quality installation. They could have proceeded with the original pattern; that would have saved them several hours of time and the results would still have been OK. However, they chose to ensure that the customer is completely satisfied with the final result. Their priorities are in the right place! Emily and Hugo are knowledgeable and attentive, their recommendations resulted in a flooring installation that exceeded my expectations. They are a real pleasure to deal with.

Reid's Roofing did an excellent job re-shingling our roof. The work was completed exactly as quoted and ahead of the time originally scheduled. The quality of workmanship is far superior to the last roofing job: Reid's added drip edges to support the shingles over the eaves troughs, all vents were replaced at no extra cost including the addition of two vents on the garage roof. They even replaced the old galvanized steel dryer vent and kitchen exhaust vent with composite vents that matched the shingle colour. The installation crew was professional and my yard and deck were cleaned promptly and completely. Owner Calvin Reid was involved from the original quote to the final inspection. Their pricing is very competitive for such high quality work. Highly recommended.
