I hired Atlantis Concrete to build a concrete patio to cover most of my backyard. In my initial interactions, I found the owner to be knowledgeable in how to plan the work to fit the space and responsive to my questions. The quoted price was competitive to other quotes. The demolition work was done quickly with no damage to surroundings. And the concrete pouring seemed to go well. However, after the concrete was poured and payment was made, Atlantis Concrete's communication with me dropped dramatically. I did not get any guidance on how to care for the newly poured concrete as it cured (e.g. to reduce fine cracks). Shortly after the concrete hardened I notified Atlantis Concrete that some of the concrete surface sloped towards my house foundation and water was pooling in another section. However, they did not offer any help to address the situation despite numerous emails sent over the last two years. I did not receive any response to my last three emails and phone message. So I unfortunately cannot recommend this company because of the lack of support after the concrete was poured. The company claims to aim for 100% customer satisfaction, but I have not personally found this to be true.

A section of fascia wood on my house was rotting and needed replacing. I reached out to Siding Vancouver to repair that section. It took a few emails and calls to reach them but in the end it was worth it. Stefan gave me a reasonable quote based on photos of the rotten fascia. My job was small and he was able to fit my job in between two larger ones. I’m very happy with the work that he and his colleague did. They were also friendly and considerate. Plus the end cost did not go over the quoted amount. The fascia now looks completely repaired, and was painted to match the existing fascia. I would hire Siding Vancouver again for future siding work.

We hired Chris to inspect a large house that we considered buying. We most appreciated the thoroughness of both the inspection and the final report. The report had lots of photos documenting what he found. Further, Chris gave us ample time to answer our many questions, both during the inspection and the next day. His inspection was very helpful in our final buying decision.

We chose to have our painting done by Prorise because of their high HomeStars ratings and because the owner Joseph was very knowledgeable and professional at our initial meeting. He offered valuable recommendations on what work our home needed, and on the paint product and colour. Based on Joseph’s recommendations, we decided to have our home pressure washed, and our deck and exterior trim repainted. We were happy with the painting and the pressure washing work. In general the work appears to be well-done. We haven’t found any major issues with the painting and the results of the pressure washing met our expectations. After the much-needed work to freshen up the exterior of our home, we think that our home looks great. However, we did experience a few issues that unfortunately negatively affected our customer experience: e.g., power washing contractor missed two scheduled meetings and also wasn’t able to complete job, painting work started later and took longer than expected (and thus could not be finished during the sunny weather we had), and lack of regular status updates on the work. In summary, we think a bit more could be done to improve the customer experience but we would still recommend Prorise Painting to our friends.
