I was nervous about having my cabinets refaced and worried about the cost, but the quotation Jim gave me was the final cost and I was relieved that I wouldn't have to rob a bank to pay for everything. The installers, Zee and Pete, were on time and very professional. I'm thrilled with the new look of my kitchen and wish I had not waited so long before having this work done. When my old jetted tub would not start, I looked on HomeStars to find a plumber. The first review under Waterworks was about an old jetted tub and I was pretty sure I had found the right plumber so I booked an appointment. Aaron arrived on time and proceeded to inspect and diagnose the problem. It was either a faulty switch (would require access through a wall) or a burnt out motor. I never use the jets except to run them every 2 months to keep them cleaned so I was happy when Aaron informed me that another option was to leave it as is without fear of mould growing. If I ever sell this condo unit, the new owners can fix the jets if they wish.

The condo corporation hired Superior Air Quality Services to clean the dryer drums and vents, and bathroom exhausts in every unit in the building. I can only speak from my own experience but I found the 2-man crew (Barry and helper) to be extremely efficient and professional, providing excellent service in my unit. And they didn't leave a mess like many contractors do. Now the exhaust system is working better than it ever has. Whatever the cost agreed to by the condo corporation, it was well worth it.

When I tried to open my dryer door, the handle came off in my hand. I called Rick at AC Appliance Repair (just before 9 pm on a Friday night) and he offered to come the next day. He picked up a new handle for me and arrived at exactly when he said he would. Rick and his helper installed the new handle which works better than the original handle -- I barely touch it and the door opens. I am a happy repeat customer and would recommend Rick to my friends and neighbors without hesitation.

I chose AC Applicance Repair based on the glowing reviews I read on Homestars. I can honestly say from personal experience that those reviews are 100% accurate. Rick responded to my initial "after hours" call for help on a Saturday night within 20 minutes and I was able to book an appointment with him the following Monday afternoon. He physically inspected the washing machine, observing the problem first-hand by doing a load of laundry and then running an exhaustive diagnostic on the machine. And although the diagnostic indicated that the control panel had failed, somehow Rick running the diagnostic had reset the panel and now the machine works like a charm. Rick had fixed it and saved me costly replacement parts or even having to replace the machine! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rick to my friends and family and in fact I've already told several people about this experience. When the time does eventually come to replace my washer/dryer, I already know who I'm going to call for installation -- Rick Saran!!!
