Five years ago Mimmo and his team did an extensive landscape makeover at our home. The work on all four sides of our house involved concrete , interlock , natural stone work on the house itself, lots of armor stone as well as river rock and re sodding of our lawns. The job was amazing and every year the landscaping would look better and better as the natural plantings would mature. In May of this year during a very strong wind storm one of two, 50 foot plus Blue Spruce trees was blown over and the second tree sustained damage resulting in an emergency call for the clearing of the downed tree as well as going through the process of obtaining an arborist report to obtain a tree cut permit from the city. These Trees were planted by the original home owners 60 years ago and should never have been planted in a confined area between driveways and 12 feet away from the house. Mimmo had done a great job of land scaping around the trees tying their presence into the entire landscape project, so after the tree had uprooted and blown over I called Mimmo to come and see how the this area which was now an eyesore could be remediated. He came out two days later and after surveying the damage and asking what I would like, came up with a plan. Once the permit was issued and the work was completed by the arborist I called Mimmo and being one of his past customers he went out his way to fit me in his very busy schedule. He called me on Friday last week and was at our house early Monday morning clearing the area and digging out some of the remaining roots. By the end of the next day after an early start Mimmo and his team had completed the work and as always the work was amazing with new top soil and armor stone border as well as a clean work site ready for me to plan and plant new shrubbery. Every year during the summer months neighbors and strangers stop and tell us how wonderful our landscaping looks. Not only does Mimmo and his team do amazing work but once you are a customer they will always be their for you. Last year I called and they came to clean and reseal all of our interlock. After using the services of Forever Stone Design for the past five years I can honestly say hat I have never been disappointed with the skill and quality of their work.

After detecting small amounts of water in cupboard under the kitchen sink we first thought it was condensation because heat we've been having. Unfortunately after close monitoring and shutting off over night we realized the tiny leak was coming from the faucet hot water connection. I called Strong plumbing Friday morning leaving a message. Valentin called back within 15 minutes and advised us that he could be come by at 11 that same morning. He arrived within 5 minutes of his ETA quickly finding the problem showing me that it was both the tap fitting at the connection and that the shutoff valve was also not working. Because the leak was at the factory compression connection of the flex line it could not be repaired and I was advised that I needed a new tap. This was a very expensive fixture that was part of our kitchen renovation 8 years prior. Valentin provided us with a supplier that carried same line and equal alternative products at very competitive prices to the few plumbing stores that actually carried these brands. He replaced the shutoff valve to stop the leak and left us with the use of the cold water function until we could get a replacement faucet. We went to his referred source who had already been contacted by Valentin where we chose and purchased a new faucet. I texted Valentin to inform him that we had our replacement faucet expecting to arrange for him to return early Monday. To our surprise he replied that he would come by later that afternoon. We were thrilled that we would have a fully functional faucet the same day. Valentin arrived as promised, changed the faucet and the other shutoff which also was not functioning 100%. Valentin is an experienced and knowledgeable tradesman who is very honest, takes pride in his work, and is fully attentive of his surroundings leaving a very clean site. I would not hesitate to use Strong Plumbing Co. for any future plumbing needs that might arise.

After having our Chimney repaired and a new steel roof installed, our final 2014 home improvement was the replacement of the eavestroughs, (with leaf guard ) soffit, and fascia. We were also considering and after consulting with Darren decided on proceeding with the installation of lighting the sides of our home with LED lighting in the soffits. I had seen North Shore doing quality work in our neighbourhood, so I researched them on HomeStars and the positive reviews re enforced what I had seen for myself. I phoned and was pleasantly and professionally greeted by Laura who would answer all my questions, took down all my information and finally came (due to volume of work ) to the house to take measurements ,pictures, and note all of my requests for information about LED lighting . After Darren came out to finalize some details about the lighting and drop off samples for the aluminum colour selection, Laura prepared and sent out the detailed estimates which were fair and reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done.This was all done in August and I was told that due to the volume of work it would probably be October that the work would be done. Laura called the week before the installers were to come to ensure that the time was good for us. Nick And Darren were at the house on the promised date and time. They were very courteous and considerate taking every precaution to ensure that all of my landscaping was protected and there was no disruption or damage to the properties of my neighbours. This was a fairly large job that required 3 long days to complete. At the end of each day upon termination of their work you would not had known anyone had been there working that day, that's how well they cleaned up. Darren and Nick do very high quality work and the finished product is a reflection of their efforts. After 13 years, our 30 year asphalt shingle roof was on it's last legs. After researching roofing products and their expected longevity as well as taking into account the recent extreme weather events and temperature fluctuations we decided that a steel roof was well worth the extra cost . We contacted New steel roofers because of their years in business and the wide selection of steel roofing products available from numerous manufacturers. This meant we had lots of options with regard to appearance and cost of a new roof. Max Guerra came to our home with samples and did not hesitate to answer any of my questions or give prices on the various products from the manufactures that I was interested in as well providing prices for products from manufactures that would save us some money. There was never any pressure and we decided on the Gerard Granite Ridge stone coated steel roof. We were given a tentative start date and I was called a week in advance to let us know the date of the material delivery and told that the installation crew would follow within a couple of days. I was called again by Max the day before the actual installation to let me know the crew would arrive the next day. It was a hot day at the end of July and the crew began work as soon as they arrived and stayed late. They returned early the next morning but since it was Saturday they spent the first hour preparing before actually working on the roof so as to not disturb our neighbors. It was a very long day for them since rain was forecast for Sunday. It was after sunset when they finished cleaning the site, collecting and loading up all the garbage. The crew was always polite ,courteous, and respectful of or property and neighbors. They returned on the Monday to pick up the remaining material and did a thorough inspection around our property to ensure that the area was properly clean and used a magnet to detect any metal left over scraps. It was obvious the installers took great pride in their work and the fished product reflects that. I would not hesitate to recommend New Steel Roofers to anyone considering replacement of an existing roof with a steel roof.

I contacted SUM in April to have chimney repairs made before having a new roof installed. Tony came out to quote on the work which I found to be fair and reasonable. Once you accept the quoted estimate, SUM gives you a tentative start date and will contact you before the promised date if for any reason (weather etc, ) they cannot be there on that day. The gentlemen who arrived in June to do the work were very polite, courteous and took great care to protect the area around their work site. They rebuilt the chimney above the roofline and also replaced damaged bricks below the roof line where necessary. The existing brick was matched perfectly with the new brick. The quality of the work they did reflects the skill and pride of the tradesmen doing the work. On completion the area was cleaned as if they weren't even there. I would not hesitate to call SUM if I were in need of any further masonry repairs and I would recommend SUM to anyone requiring quality masonry work at a fair price

Forever Stone did extensive landscape work to our home last August / September. In early June of this year as I was preparing one of our new gardens for planting when it appeared as if one of the rocks on the top level had slightly shifted. It was only minor so I thought I could just shift it myself with a crow bar, but all I managed to do was make it look worse. I called Mimmo and he came by the same afternoon at the end of his work day to level and reposition the rock to it's proper position I offered to pay for the service but he refused. That type of customer service and commitment is rare and greatly appreciated. I have numerous people stop and admire the work that was done to the front, rear and sides of our house as well as inquire who did the work. I am more than happy top direct them to Forever Stone Design and I personally would not hesitate for one minute to call Mimmo for any future landscape or stone work to our home.
