Our house is a 1885 Victorian townhouse connected on our east side to a mirror-image semi-detached; my neighbour and I share the back wall of our foundation. When we discovered it was leaking badly, we determined that it would be best to do the work at the same time, and after a few quotes we settled on Vasyl and DryMax. What a GREAT choice. Vasyl explained everything that needed to be done, set timelines, and laid out the costs clearly. (The cost I listed here includes the $1750 city rebate for the sump pump; my total invoice was $5638, and was just for the work on my side of the property, which was the back wall and a bit of wraparound. My neighbour (billed separately) did substantially more of his foundation.) The work was efficient, professional, and completed without disturbing either of the decks that were above it. Vasyl's crew were outstanding. They repaired & patched our somewhat dodgy foundations beautifully, waterproofed the repaired wall, installed the foundation membrane, and carefully ensured that there was a proper run-off slope away from the foundation. Installing the sump pump required Vasyl & his guys to access our basement, and they did that work carefully and respectfully, and left the inside of the house spotless. Considering the massive upheaval of our backyards necessary to digging a 6' deep x 2' wide trench along the most of the foundation of the building, when the work was completed, both of our yards were left in immaculate condition. Vasyl personally inspected the work after it was done and made sure we were completely satisfied before taking payment. It will be a while before we can assess the true impact of the work, but I am confident that this was an excellent investment in maintaining my house. I highly recommend Vasyl and DryMax, especially for older houses that need this kind of retro-fitting.

I highly recommend Erion and his team. First, Erion walked me through the details of what needed to be done and listened carefully to my requests. In particular, that I have a ridiculously picky neighbour, so it was going to be crucial that his crew was careful around their property and also that the site had to be spotless when they were done. Which it was. Not a peep from the neighbours. Secondly, we went from quote to finished work in about 2 weeks; and in spite of having to shift times because of rain, the crew arrived right on schedule, and completed the work exactly to specification, in half a day. Third, the site was carefully secured and protected with plywood and tarps, and the crew was clearly professional, careful and safety-conscious. Relatively speaking, this was a small job (only the front half of the roof) but we still got great service. The quoted price was entirely fair, and roughly in line with the other quotes I got: not the most expensive, and not the cheapest. If anyone asks, Erion & Universe would be my go-to company for roofing in the future.

The work done was a full, down-to-the studs reno of a small bathroom in a 140-year-old Victorian house in Toronto. We could not be happier with the results. First, Ronaldo's price was absolutely reasonable, especially compared to the other quotes we got. Secondly, the work took exactly as long as he said it would take, at exactly the price he quoted. Furthermore, Ronaldo showed up dependably when he said he would, and he was extremely tidy and respectful of the fact that we still had to live in the house while he worked. His subcontractors for plumbing and electrical were excellent, and they even figured out to fix a bad previous reno: before, the stack pipe had been boxed in, making the room even smaller, and also hard to organize. His guys figured out how to get it back into the wall, which literally transformed the room and made if feel twice as big. I didn't ask for that, they just did it because it made the job better. And that was just one of a number of instances where Ronaldo's good eye, design sense, and craftsmanship made a huge difference to the quality of the outcome. He is also a phenomenal painter so the quality of the final finish was absolutely top-notch. Finally, Ronaldo is a super nice guy, and it was actually a pleasure to have him around the house. I wholeheartedly recommend him for any job of this type, and I would happily hire him again.

Terrific work, very reasonable price, prompt and speedy. We had Reliable in to give our living room couch a refresh and also to clean the basement broadloom, which had suffered under the onslaught of an old, rather barfy cat. Great results on both. Highly recommended!

Atiar's great reviews here prompted me to call him, and he lived up them. My gas oven in my stove was not lighting (though the broiler worked). I called at 10 am; Altiar was here, as promised, at 2:00 pm and done by 3:00. He explained what the problem was, and why (gas oven igniters have a limited lifespan, so after 8 years, this one was due); he had the parts with him and fixed it on the spot; and it comes with a 30-day warranty. Excellent, professional work. I now have a new go-to guy for appliance repairs. Highly recommended.
