We had a sump pump failure emergency that I noticed late last night when I saw water coming through a crack in the basement floor and checked the sump pump barrel, which was full to the brim, and the pump was not operating. First thing in the morning I called serval companies specializing in this sort of thing. While all were prompt in returning my call, only Butler was able to arrive in a timely fashion. Bryce quickly identified the problem and replaced the sump pump within the half hour, getting the pump working to extract the water that had accumulated. He then proceeded to explain the operation of the system to me and what to watch for in the future. He also recommended a vacuum company that would reliably vacuum the water out of the carpet of our finished basement, to prevent further problems related to water damage. The price was right in line with what I was expecting for parts and labour, but more importantly, the timeliness and and professionalism is what impressed me most. They were a life-safer, with up to 30 more mm of rain in the forecast for today and overnight!

The two older gentleman that came to my door offering a window washing service were very polite and sincere. Although they used a standard sales pitch, it did not come across as phoney and I did need my windows cleaned, having never done them before in the 8 years I've lived in the home. I used the excuse of having to call my husband for approval, I went on line to look up Property Stars and came across some negative and some positive reviews. Most of the negatives seemed to be from employees who felt they were treated poorly by the company or from those receiving landscaping type services. The window washing reviews seemed to be mostly positive and the price was agreeable, so I decided to give them a chance. They worked diligently and did a great job. I asked them how they liked working for the company, and they were both very enthusiastic. They scrubbed so hard that at one point, they had to call for a replacement brush at the end of their wand because of all of the spider web and other insect material around some of my windows that had really gotten out of hand! After inspecting the work, I told them to feel free to tell the other residents in the neighbourhood that I was happy with their service. Despite some of the other negatives reported on this page, my experience was quite the opposite.
