I strongly advise against hiring Ben's Roofing for any home improvement project. My experience with them was nothing short of disastrous. As a first-time homeowner, I was utterly disgusted by their unprofessional conduct and shoddy workmanship. The project, a complete roof replacement with all new fascia board, soffit, gutters and trim, was initially scheduled to begin in early September. However, due to their poor planning and constant delays, the work didn't start until over two weeks later. Even then, their work ethic was appalling, with workers arriving late and leaving early, sometimes barely putting in more than 4-5 hours of work a day. Furthermore, Ben's Roofing grossly underestimated the scope of the project. They failed to properly assess the existing roof structure, leading to unexpected costs and delays. When I refused to pay additional charges they demanded, the company's representative became rude, accusatory and insinuated that it was my fault. I was under the impression that Ben's Roofing were supposed to be professionals, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all. To make matters worse, they mistakenly removed a chimney that I had explicitly requested to keep. This oversight resulted in significant damage to my home and additional expenses to repair the chimney and the surrounding area - which was left open and is only protected by a single piece of building wrap. Throughout the project, Ben's Roofing failed to clean up after themselves, leaving a mess in my front yard for days. They also installed roof vents in the wrong location and without the necessary holes, demonstrating a complete lack of knowledge and skill. I ultimately had to fire Ben's Roofing before they caused any more damage to my home and in turn cost me even more money. Not once did they offer to make things right. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible my experience with Ben's Roofing was. Their incompetence, unprofessionalism, and disregard for their customers' needs make them a company to avoid at all costs. DO NOT HIRE BEN'S ROOFING!
