Im old enough to remember when customer service was important. It got you business. Today it doesnt matter, everyone seems to have poor customer service. Purchased a fridge at Home Depot and arranged a delivery date of July 4th. It came and the guys said they couldnt get it in the house, the screen door had to be removed. My wife couldnt do that and I wasnt home. They left it in the garage and we booked another call for the 6th to bring it in the house. No one showed up. Rebooked for the 9th, but then had to cancel the guy who was supposed to hook up the water. They came in the 8th and the delivery guys were angry at the first guys, said there was no way the screen door had to off, the just had to take the doors off the fridge. I had the screen door already removed but they still took the doors off the fridge. Rebooked the water hook up for the 24th as we were going to be away on vacation. The 24th came and the guy called me and said they were too busy to get to me today, they could come on the 25th or 26th, both of which were not good for me. I had also cancelled an appointment in the morning that day. Said he would get here before 10:00 tonight. Left me feeling very unimportant. He blamed it on Home Depot giving them too much to do, but Home Depot head office told me that the installers book their own appointments. Typical pass the buck. They got my money for the fridge and dont really care what happens after that.
