GTAwater has been in business over 10 years, proudly serving Canadian customers with brand name products and FAIR service. We follow standard industry best practices for online retailing. That is: 1) We will ship what the customer ordered, 2) If GTAwater made a mistake or the product is defective-on-arrival then we will cover related shipping costs to switch the product, 3) If customer made a mistake and order the wrong items then customer will pay for associated shipping costs, 4) If both parties made mistakes then we ask to split the associated shipping costs. If a product is not in stock, we will make effort to inform and ask buyer if they ok to switch to alternate brand and reimburse the cost difference. Our people has many years experience on the residential water filtration products -- not often, but SOMETIMES, we may decide to simply switch to an alternate, comparable brand, mainly to save the buyer delay in receiving their products. This can make a difference in receiving the product in say 2 days vs 10 days. The brands may be different but we always recommend comparable quality and performance alternatives. There are many alternate water system and filter brands in the market, and many of them do perform very comparable to each other. Hence, as long as the fittings are compatible then customers will get similar performance, and oftentimes won't notice any difference. If a product is switched, it is primarily to avoid delay shipping out the customer's order. However, if the customer is not satisfied with alternate item received, they are welcome to inform the company and we will make arrangement to switch the product at our cost. That is very reasonable expectation. The customer below (Mfterns) wrote that long negative review even BEFORE contacting GTAwater and giving the company a chance to resolve the issue. That is unfortunate. That customer obviously had very very high expectations and the instant an issue arises, jumps to the conclusion that the company is a bad company. And goes on a tangent to write a multiple page review that touches on many unrelated topics. Those customers just care about their own interests and does not care about the negative impact it may have on others (despite many of its opinions are incorrect or taken out of context). GTAwater resolved that customer's issues promptly after she contacted us regarding her concerns. GTAwater believes in providing quality FAIR service to all our customers. If the customer is a fair person, has reasonable expectations, and consideration of what is right or wrong, then they will be very satisfied shopping at GTAwater.com. If the customer is not tolerant of any unintentional issues that may arise, and believes the world owes them, then they may be better served by businesses that cater to such needs.
