I contacted Luso Roofing as I was looking to have my roof inspected. We are 2nd owners of our 10 year old home and I have always wondered what condition the roof was in. We had a home inspection done prior to purchase but that was 5 years ago and I wanted a more thorough inspection. I also had some roof vent guards that I wanted installed and while doing some research I stumbled upon a youtube video of Luso doing an installation of such guards. I contacted Luso and immediately spoke to Nuno. Nuno and Paulo came out within a few days of our initial call. They performed a thorough inspection and made some recommendations. They returned within a few days and completed the repairs and installed the vent guards. These gentlemen are professional, honest, very thorough and an absolute pleasure to work with. They took time to explain things and answered all of my questions. The quality of the work is excellent. Old school quality workmanship that you don't see much nowadays. I would highly recommend Luso to anyone looking for roof repairs or replacement. We are extremely pleased! 10+

Last Friday night we realized that the AC was not working as it once did. The air was tepid at best and the house quickly began to heat up. After half a sleepless night I decided to do my research and see if I could fix this problem on what I thought was a fairly new unit (8 years old). Google with all its information did not provide any fix for my AC issue. I logged onto to Homestars and began searching for a repairperson. MAXAIRE was one of the first I looked at and based on the comments I decided to send a text to the number provided. Keep in mind I sent this text @ 6:50 AM on a Saturday. Within 40 minutes I had a reply from Karnik. Karnik assured me he would try his best to have a tech out to take a look as soon as possible. With the heat in the house rising and the fact that we had our families coming over to celebrate Father’s Day I needed the AC to be repaired asap or it would be pretty hot with 25+ people arriving that afternoon. Karnik was able to send a tech out within hours. By noon that day the AC was back in business and the house was slowly cooling down. The ice cold air was back! Karnik took the time to explain pricing and the tech that came out to diagnose and complete the repair was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the issue. The fact that these guys worked hard to accommodate us and get to us so fast was awesome! The whole process was quick and efficient. I would highly recommend MAXAIRE to anyone looking for good honest repairs and installations. 10+ for these guys!

I contacted RJ Aluminum in late August as we planned on having our front landscaping done and needed to replace the builder installed railing. I contacted RJ Aluminum and received a quick response by Joe Sova. Joe came out to take a look at the project. He came well prepared with samples and plenty of photos to help us decide the style we’d like to go with. He provided a great deal of insight and provided his quote complete with photos within hours of coming out to meet me. Joe came out a few times after that to go over things with me and confirm measurements. Great attention to detail and truly concerned that my wife and I were happy with the end product. Installation took place yesterday and WOW we couldn’t be happier! The railing just finishes the porch and compliments the natural stone beautifully. The quality is top notch and solid. We recently had our front landscaping done. I take great pride in my home so when it came time to have the front landscaping done I was cautious as I wanted to make sure the job was done right and just the way I had envisioned. I can proudly say that Forever Stone did a stellar job! I had contacted several landscape contractors (many of which just never showed for the initial consultation). I received a very prompt reply from Forever Stone and met with Mimmo shortly thereafter. Mimmo was thorough and honest. He offered suggestions and went to great lengths to show me samples of the type of material he would use. He took time to explain the process and finishing work to me and made me feel very confident that if given the opportunity Forever Stone would transform our front landscape and capture what I had envisioned. After meeting with Mimmo for the first time I went into the house and said to my wife “this guy is the one…he is the real deal!” Mimmo and his crew showed up on-time every day, kept the job site very clean as to not disrupt us or my neighbors, even brought in my bins on garbage day! They really go above and beyond for the client. The job consisted of covering the front porch and steps in natural stone, added a fourth step, creating a walkway, front flower bed, tree ring, full driveway stone border and regrade and sodding the front grass. Mimmo and his crew even brought additional soil to the backyard and spread it so I could fix some problem patches with the grass. I couldn’t be happier with the end result! Great attention to detail, you can tell by the workmanship that Mimmo knows what he is doing and will his work will last for years and years. I called him an “artist” many times throughout the job as the workmanship truly is a work of art. We cannot thank Mimmo enough for his recommendations on material and color as everything turned out so beautifully. If you a looking for an exceptional landscape contractor, look no more. I enlisted the services of GTA Moving Guys to assist in the unloading of 2 16ft PODS. With everything going on dealing with the closing of our previous house and putting the contents of our home in storage I neglected to arrange for the offload of these containers (procrastination is bad!!!) In any event I turned to HomeStars and began to search for companies to enlist services from. To be honest I contacted several. Some got back to me saying they had no availability, others provided quotes that seemed extremely inflated given my situation and my looming closing date, the rest…well I have yet to hear from. Steve contacted me and was extremely accommodating and informative. He was prompt with the quote and explained everything in detail. This all before I even decided to proceed! We purchased extended warranty on appliances that we purchased. When it came time for us to use that extended warranty you get nothing but the run around. They sub-contract the warranty work off so you’re not even really dealing with Appliance Canada anymore. We have been waiting a month for a repair on a washer. A month!!! A family of 6 adds up to tons of laundry. The repair place that is handling the work ordered the incorrect part so that leaves us stuck waiting. Service is horrible in general. In the past 5 years we have dropped $30,000+ in appliances for our homes. Never again will I give my money to Appliance Canada nor will I ever recommend them to family and friends.
