I have an older East York house with a smaller attic and mostly flat roof. I had to check something in the attic recently and noticed that the previous owner's "blow in insulation" efforts only covered about 30-40% of the surface area in the attic, leaving the rest exposed. After reviewing DIY options and the challenges of my attic, I decided to get professionals in to do it right once and for all. After searching around I found the good reviews for Zenic in particular some comments about working with tight confines and flat roofs in older Toronto houses. The Zenic crew of consisting of the owner and two helpers (family I think) showed up right on time and were very effective at getting the job done. For my small attic, the minimum charge applied with no "extras" and they were in and out within an hour, leaving the house cleaner than it was before.

I worked with McNamara Services in two phases, summer 2012 and spring 2013, so complete extensive work on my house: * Removal of old porch and garage * Rebuild entire rear wall of house, with new window opening and relocating door. * Brand new cedar deck and rear door porch * Full interior demolition of kitchen, removing plaster and lathe, ceiling, floor, and subfloor * Levelling of floor and ceiling, installation of new subfloor. * Insulation, vapour barrier, wall board, mud and tape * Various other tasks (kitchen and bathroom vents, pocket door installation, plumbing and lighting fixtures) * Tile work for kitchen floor, backsplash, and bathroom Joe worked with me throughout the project and let me be very hands-on in planning, changing, and decision making. He made sure I have the information and cost estimates in place to deal with the surprises that invariably come up when renovating older houses. Change in scope and timelines were managed effectively. Slight problems with some aspect of the work were corrected to my satisfaction, and I would consider McNamara Services again for similar work. Red Robin was prompt in replying to my email and providing a detailed and very reasonable quote. Once confirmed, they scheduled my small job as soon as the warmer spring weather allowed. A work crew of two quickly completed work to my satisfaction, and left the site clean.and the crew of
