Avenue Road Masonry replaced several courses of spalling bricks on the front pillars and side of my garage. Chris from Avenue Road was the only person who came up with the solution to replace the lowest three courses of damaged bricks with concrete blocks to prevent the problem from happening again in future. The mason, Greg, was meticulous - he tacked up a plumb line to ensure the new courses of concrete blocks were being laid level. He mixed two dyes into the mortar to match the original mortar. He also noticed that the original masons had tooled the mortar on the front of the garage deeper than on the side, so he matched that too. He moved some of the original brick which was in good condition from the side to the front pillars of the garage, in order to get a perfect match. I would defy anyone to tell me where the old brick ends and the new brick begins! During the work, which took a few days, Robert phoned several times to keep me up to date on the progress of my project. This level of customer service is rarely seen today. This masonry work has taken decades off the appearance of the exterior of the house. I could not be more pleased with the end results!

I used three different companies in three years and was dissatisfied. Pat and his team at Lawn of Duty Landscaping mow and trim my lawns and blow the clippings off my walks, patio and driveway. They do an efficient and professional job. My lawn looks full, smooth and green - the best its looked in four summers. Being an older lawn, it is somewhat uneven, but Pat ensures it is mowed at a height which avoids any scalping. This spring, I was over-seeding to repair some damage done last year. Pat slowed the mower speed down to avoid disturbing the seed, and he reminded me to water the over-seeded areas three times a day to get the seed well established, which was helpful. I also appreciate being on his schedule for the same day every week, so I know when to put out the sprinklers to water without interfering with his visit. I was impressed that he took the time to check in with me in person half way through the mowing season to be sure I am happy with the results. I highly recommend Lawn of Duty!
