Since this past Summer the tap to the water outside has been dripping. I originally thought the tap needed to be replaced. I had Jeff come to my house to look at this tap and to learn that the issue was not as great as I had imagined. Jeff repaired this tap and installed a valve to turn the water off for the outside from the inside of my house. A contractor I used several years ago installed a longer water pipe, not on an angle facing down for the water to drain, and without an off valve. If this valve was not installed, there was a risk that the pipe could freeze with water still in it. Now this problem is resolved and I do not need to worry about my pipes freezing . I was very impressed with the work Jeff completed for me that I requested him to come back and complete two additional projects almost two weeks later. These projects, included replacing a toilet and repairing the water pipe to a sink in a bathroom. With this project, Jeff quickly made the changes for me - the projects were complete in a couple of hours and I am very happy how everything looks.

This is the second time we have used The Bunk House to purchase a bed frame and mattress. In both cases the beds are fantastic. What is great about the bed frame and mattress is that they are made from solid wood and are made here in Ontario, and the mattress is organic. And, with the beds themselves, they either have space for storage or space for another bed. For kids, this is really useful to store books and toys. The staff in their store are very helpful when purchasing the bed, and you have the option of arranging for delivery on a day and time that meets your schedule. And with the delivery, they were on time and they assembled the bed for us.

As our family grows into additional spaces in our home, we had Wow 1 Day Painting paint our upstairs hallway + bedroom + closet and ceiling. These spaces were last painted by the previous owner over 10-years ago, which means that they were not in super pristine condition. Neil and his crew were very prompt this morning and arrived before the prearranged start time and waited for us to indicate we were ready. Their crew were very professional and courteous and ensured drop-clothes were placed every where, and prior to the project starting, Neil reconfirmed what we wanted and how we wanted it. Almost right away the project began and the end results have exceeded my expectations. When the project was over, Neil and his crew cleaned up everything and the provided great advice to let the walls dry for a few hours before we move anything around in those spaces.

I had my regular air conditioner maintenance performed by an outside company and when they turned my unit on, it was no longer working - it was over 15-years old. The maintenance company gave me a quote for an air conditioner, and to ensure I was getting the correct product I cantact Cozy Comfort - who came the next day. Cozy Comfort took me through the options for different units that would meet my needs, while answering all of my questions. Their expert team just installed the new AC unit in my house. They were very professional and were on time, and they quickly completed the installation while ensuring the old unit was removed.

My neighbors and I share a number of trees. With these trees, two are shared with one neighbor and one with two neighbors. With the one tree shared between the three of us, animals were using it as a walkway to my roof. After seeing an advertisement in a community paper from Ashley's Tree Care, I spoke with my neighbor about having our two trees dealt with (they had to be removed) and with the larger tree affecting the three of us. I contacted Ashley's Tree Care, and they were very prompt in providing us with a very competitive quote and a date for when the work could be performed. On the day Ashley's Tree Care came to take care of the three trees, we revised the scope of the work to allow for less pruning - which was not a problem. They were very professional and quick in completing this project. And, with the Tree that was pruned, my neighbor informed me that this tree may have to come down in the future - for this project, I know I will definitely contact Ashley's Tree Care to obtain their advice.

We have young kids and a backyard full of flagstone that the kids can't play in. We contacted Simple Solutions Landscaping and had them remove the stones and replace it with grass. Brian and his team were fantastic and they quickly completed the project, even-though there was hidden wasp nest. At the end of the project Brian provided great advice for maintaining a healthy lawn.

Last year AquaLux Draining and Plumbing installed a backwater valve and sump pump in my house. The project was completed in less than two days, including the city inspector reviewing the project. As a result of this we were able to send in the rebate forms to the City quickly approved everything. As part of the Project Igor said that we should check on the two sites once a year, and after a year, I am happy to confirm that there were no problems.

We moved into an older home that was not well maintained. While we had old oak hardwood floors, they were in very rough condition. I know this review is late, last Summer, Matthew worked magic on our floors and brought out the rich colour in the hardwood floors and filled in all of the cracks. I never realized how beautiful they would look - they look fantastic and a project I thought would take a very long time was completed in less than one week.

After moving boxes in the basement, of our older home that was renovated in the eighties, I noticed black mold on the wall. Not a good sign. I contacted Ross, the Mold Guy, to find out if this was a bigger problem. After a thorough inspection, several other areas that I did not originally notice were found. Now that we knew about these mold issues, we had Ross and his team start work on the basement, which included removing all drywall and insulation. As a result of removing the drywall several other hidden mold and moisture sites were found behind the insulation and vapour barrier. The work performed by the Mold Guy was completed quickly and professionally, with team members always being available to answer any of our questions, and now our basement mold problem is resolved.\

After heavy snow from this past winter, I wanted to know what had happened with my dual flat and peaked roof, but my house is too tall and I do not like heights. When I saw IRIS inspecting my neighbours’ roof, I thought that is exactly what I needed. After I contacted IRIS, they immediately came and examined my roof, and attic, too. After the inspection, I received a very detailed report, which included photos of my roof and the sites to watch out for and repair, along with the expected cost for repairs. This has been incredibly useful when trying to obtain a contractor as I know what the problems are and how much a quote should be, as well as to know when in the future I will likely need to replace shingles and the flat roof.
