Deck needed to be releveled after two winters of heaved footings. Clay is everywhere in our yard. After quotes from five different contractors, I chose MKW because Matt was by far the most professional, honest and trustworthy contractor I had visit for quotes. His quote was an actual quote, not just an 'estimate with wiggle room.' Matt provided the most confidence when all things considered in the quoting process. The MKW service team were able to react to the situation of clay being an issue in my backyard, and came up with a novel solution that far exceeded my expectations. The deck is now fully level and much more stable than before! Matt was considerate in working with the stairs to make sure they're stable too, despite that being outside the scope of my quote! I will be recommending them going forward.

Thanks in part to homestars.com (some from the Home Show), I reached out to 10 wood and vinyl shutter installers, and had the top five come in for discussion/measurements. Needless to say, we did our homework. Canada Custom Shutters was the number one, based on cost, and trustworthiness. Harvey was our sales person, Jim was the installer, and everything went smoothly coordinated by Melissa. Before even committing, Harvey was the most trustworthy salesperson of the bunch. Jim's installation was very exacting and professional. He even dapped a hole in my frame from when I pulled out the old blinds -- didn't get a chance to thank him. Our shutters are immaculate; we're happy.

Boris recommended a humidifier based on our requirements, and his quote was the lowest-cost of seven contractors I've reached out to. Plus, his followup consultation was very helpful. Fred did an excellent job with the installation of the Honeywell furnace-mount humidifier, and I'm very happy. So far we've noticed a major improvement in the air quality, and our humidity is back into the comfort zone.
