I had the pleasure of working with Montemayor General Contracting on two bathroom renos in my home. I never thought I'd associate the word "reno" with "pleasure" but that's how I felt upon the completion of this four-week job. I'm very pleased with the results! Santiago, Cesar and their team were efficient, professional and easy to work with. I knew I'd hired the right company when the crew arrived and began covering my floors in protective blue floor mats - from my back door and all the way upstairs. From there, the work progressed speedily without interruption. The crew and tradespeople arrived on time and worked hard. I was impressed by their attention to detail and by the quality of the workmanship. Santiago is personable, honest and has high standards, even extending to the final site clean-up. His team washed all my floors and left my garage (where they stored supplies and tools) cleaner than when they arrived. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

I called Diox about a small, but pressing repair job. My front porch had rotting (hollow!) wooden pillars holding up a small balcony. I was impressed by Paul's prompt response,and by the care and attention he put into this job. He was easy to reach and a very good communicator. When an unexpected issue arose, he found a cost-effective solution and kept me up to date on his progress. (I was out of town at the time of this job.) I'm very pleased with result and so were my neighbours and friends. Highly recommend this company!

Mine is not a leaky-roof story, but it could easily have turned into one. This Spring, my neighbour suggested we replace the shingles on our shared, circa 2000 garage roof. No leaks or missing shingles from what we could see at ground level, but still... My neighbour called several roofing companies. Only one came out to take a look. The estimator provided a verbal estimate. I wanted a detailed, written estimate - and a better idea of the state of the roof. A friend recommended a local company that had worked on two of his homes and his parents home. So I called J. Stewart Roofing. John came by, climbed up on the roof and took photos. I was surprised to see warped and missing shingles on the back alley side of the garage. And those lumpy bits? They were not raccoon droppings as I'd thought! The three-man crew arrived on time and worked efficiently and steadily, despite the 30+ degree heat. They finished the job an hour before a sudden downpour. No leaks and the crew left my garage entrance and floor cleaner than how they'd found it. I was even happier that my garden had suffered no damage. John checked the work afterwards and sent me pics of my beautiful new roof. He is the ideal contractor: knowledgeable, thorough, easy to reach and a good communicator. He and his crew offer superb customer service. If only other roofing companies were as professional!
