Surface Pro Services was hired on to do our landscaping for our house by their connection with Wayne at Abacus Landscaping. They helped us to design what we were looking for in both the front and back of our house and worked with us to get what we wanted within our budget. Doug (the owner) came out to our house a number of times both before signing the contract and while the work was being done. He was always easy to reach and quick to respond to questions over e-mail. Most of the work was done by Taylor, who did an excellent job (particularly on the retaining wall in our back yard). The whole team was great to work with, including making sure the worksite was kept clean and were always friendly and easy to work with. Surface Pro Services arranged for all necessary contractors (i.e. - sprinkler system) and had everything taken care of efficiently and to a high standard. In the end, the final price was exactly what was quoted initially - right to the penny. Overall, highly recommended.

We called around to a number of companies regarding an air conditioner. Ultimately, we settled on Action Furnace due to our comfort with the salesperson as well as the good deal he was offering us (including 10 year parts and labour warranty). They came on time for the install were very clean when performing their work. My only complaint at this stage was that it took far longer than they had originally said it would (probably almost 7-8 hours total). However, they got it up and running and it cooled our home properly which was our ultimate goal. There was a slight issue with the electrical inspection following the installation, but they have indicated that they will be coming back to correct the problem.

We were fortunate to find someone selling their just completed Homes By Avi home. We jumped on the opportunity to buy and were able to purchase the home. Given that the home was brand new, it still included the warranty. Homes By Avi was quick to update their files and provide us with information on the home, as if we were the ones who had built it with them. Their warranty work was excellent whenever something needed to be fixed. In particular, Ira in their warranty department was excellent to deal with. While I can't comment on the process of building with Homes By Avi, if the professionalism and attention to detail they paid in the warranty phase are any indication, this is an excellent company to build a home with.

Called around to a few alarm companies to get information. I came across United Alarm and their reviews seemed to be good so I gave them a shot. They had an excellent promotion on a system that included alarm, fire monitoring, flood sensor, cold temperature sensor etc. We decided to go with them and had them come out to do the install. The installer was quick, clean and explained everything. Since having the system installed, we have been quite happy. We have accidentally set the alarm off a few times and the company has called us within one minute each time to make sure everything is ok. Overall, highly recommended. Note that the cost above is the per month contract amount ($30) for a 38 month term.
