For our home renovation, (2 bathrooms, and a summer kitchen) FVBS noticed the frequency that we were purchasing items and offered us contractor rates. When the reno was complete we even received a rebate card to use on future purchases! They ordered items to help finish our spaces and continually provide consistent professional service and source items that can't be found locally. They are a great company with highly qualified and professional staff.

Ross (owner) gave competitive quotes, terrific service and quality product/workmanship. He saved us about 900 dollars on our French doors (blinds inside) as well as a huge savings on our custom transom window over the front entry. He offers great solutions for anything to do with glass, windows, shower enclosures, mirrors and doors. We would recommend mainland glass and will use them for our new build on the summer.

This location is wonderful, very helpful staff. They spent a lot of time matching custom colours to existing ones in our new house. They work to perfection to ensure paints are matched exactly. Theresa and Sam are pros at matching colours, offering expert advice and fulfilling orders in a timely manner. They made suggestions that we hadn't considered which worked out better than we anticipated. They also put us in touch with a local painter who did any excellent job.

We selected this company because when my mom sold her house, the purchaser used them and we found the report provided very comprehensive and inclusive of cost estimates for repairs. This unfortunately was not our experience. The inspector was ok, friendly/polite. The format of the report was very confusing and not helpful. They gave us a nice book of how to look after your home, which was great but not worth the almost 600.00 we paid for the inspection. The report was given to us in "codes" that we had to flip to another chart to figure out if it was problematic, normal, needs attention etc. Also, in home inspections we've had in the past, the report included rough estimates for costs to repair problems, this report did not include any such information. The attic was not inspected as we found problems not noted in the home inspection. The only good thing about this company is they refunded our money so we could hire a home inspection company better suited to our needs. We also found that 600.00 is about 100-150 over the average home inspection fee. My advice is if you are going to hire a home inspector, ask to see a sample of what the report will look like to ensure that you are getting what you need/want.

They did an excellent job, fixed a major problem that we were unaware of. Came in on budget, showed up on time, offered advice on the most cost effective way to deal with plumbing solutions. Also, very professional, punctual and pleasant to deal with. Wayne at Valley Rooter went above and beyond our expectations.
