We had the whole main floor (900sq ft) of our homes hardwood floors refinished May 2, 2022 by Lory an Radu from NewRidge Refinishing Group. I had a few quotes and met with other companies, but I felt Lory was the most professional, informative and knowledgeable of them all. We started planning in early Feb. I wanted to ascertain a definite May 2nd start as I was coordinating renting a POD for my furniture to be stored in my driveway, while the refinishing was happening. Lory narrowed down the work dates to 7-10 days, depending how the sanding went. She was able to give us clear details on how it would unfold. Where I thought wed be out of our house for 2-3 weeks; she basically said, that because of our layout, we could live in the house throughout most of the work. The need for a hotel would only be for a night or two when the stain was applied and was off gassing. We opted for 1 night at the hotel, however in retrospect I would recommend the 2 nights. The second night we had to sleep with the windows open, fortunately the weather was permissible. They started on time and finished a few days early. My biggest concern was that we had different hardwoods in different rooms spanning from the 1960s to the early 2000s. Lory was able to reassure me that they would be able to bring the floors from my original 1960s to match the others. After the first day I was in awe of the transformation. especially on the older wood! As the days progressed watching Lory and Radu work their talent and craft, I observed a sheer miracle. Lory and Radu work as a team doing back breaking work. They are meticulous in every aspect of their job. If anything came up, which always does when your working with an older home and additions, they were able to immediately accommodate the changes and work with our desires. In all it took 6 laborious days, they were willing to work on the Saturday to finish up, however we had obligations, so they came back on the Monday to replace the new painted quarter round. Radus sister Alex joined them on the Monday to help with the cutting and painting of the quarter round. She too was very friendly and professional and a nice addition to their team. To allow for the proper curing of the finish, we followed their recommendations of keeping furniture off the floors for 2 1/2 weeks and the area rugs for a month. Since we had the POD and spent the money I wanted to maintain the effort in the amazing work that was done. As I admired their work during those following weeks I also came to the revelation that there was barely any dust to have to clean up after. The system they use is incredible at capturing the dust as they are sanding. I had images of my having to wash walls and ceilings of dust and that was not the case, it was wonderful having one less job to do! The results are beyond my expectations. We are so happy with the results, it truly is transformational! I love the continuity of the stain throughout. I wish we had done it years ago!! Thank you Lory and Radu you two are overall genuinely amazing people. It was a pleasure having met you. Almost 4 months later and I am still in love with their work!!!

From the moment Scott came to our house to give us a quote for our painting project we felt very at ease and comfortable with him. I asked for 2 quotes, the most important being: the ceilings of a hall way, front entrance, L shaped living / dining room, kitchen and large main floor family room and adjoining washroom/ laundry room. The 2nd quote was just a wish list quote on 2 walls in the living/ dining room. Scott was quick at getting the quote back and able to accommodate us within days if we wanted. We’d been planning a few renovations in the weeks / months prior and my husband was finding it a bit disconcerting having the many people in to give quotes and prepping for the reno’s. We had decided to go with both painting quotes and added the job of painting my family room / washroom walls as well. The night before they were to begin, I texted Scott and asked if they could paint the hallway and stairwell walls as well….. he accepted my request graciously and said whatever I wanted… he would make us happy!! We went with Scott because he put my husband’s mind at ease with knowing they would be in and out quickly, efficiently and guaranteeing their workmanship. Three days after deciding on Ranmar Painting, Randy, Sean, Carlo and Mark arrived right at 8:30. They worked together like a well oiled machine. They were friendly, professional and their workmanship was spot on. The job ended up being much larger than I had intended, but it was because Scott gave us the confidence that he would be able to complete it to our satisfaction quickly. The men were meticulous in cleaning up, replacing the furniture and outlet hardware. It felt almost magical, like I had my “painting fairies” in and with a snap of my fingers….the job was done. After the kitchen ceiling dried we noticed that a 2nd coat of paint was needed. I texted Scott and mentioned it. He immediately texted back and without hesitation said they would be back the next day. Scott and Randy came in with the same friendly, professional way. They applied a 2nd coat to the ceiling and once again meticulously cleaned up. I would highly recommend Ranmar Painting. Scott and his capable team will fulfill all of your painting needs and guarantee it to your satisfaction.

Our gas’s fireplace of 30 years finally stopped working in December. We had Terry from Classic Fireplace in Ajax come out and give us a quote on a new one. From the moment Terry came in to our home he was professional, friendly and most of all really knew his products. Since we were already dealing with an existing gas fireplace as well as surrounding marble and mantle, we were very concerned with not requiring a multitude of costly changes. As soon as Terry did the measurements he gave us his opinion of which fireplace would fit in perfectly. He assured us this particular model would not require any tiling or carpentry. We did our due diligence and had 2 more quotes but were left with many more questions and uncertainties. The others told us they would need to do follow up tiling and possibly drywalling. We called Terry and he came back out to the house and alleviated any concerns the other companies gave us. The day of installation Kyle and Connor arrived earlier than the expected mid day time, which was awesome! They were very professional, courteous and friendly. They worked extremely well together anticipating the next persons needs. They gave us detailed instructions on how to use it and their clean up was impeccable. They were in and out much faster than expected and most of all the fireplace Terry suggested fit as though it was meant to be there from the start!! Our family is exceptionally pleased and enjoying the comfort and warmth the fireplace brings.
