Fantastic roofing company that does a fantastic job. Go ahead and get multiple quotes like you're supposed to do but in the end choose Luc's Roofing for a perfectly installed roof at a fair price. I hate the process of major home repairs like getting a new roof but Ben, the owner, made it painless. First of all, he replied right away to my request for a quote for a new roof for my 100 year old semi-detached house. He and John came out the very next day to inspect and assess the roof. They immediately put up a ladder and climbed up to see exactly what was needed ( well, right after we all had a very lively discussion about cats). Ben is professional and also approachable and easy going. He easily explained what needed to be done ( without "man-splaining") and promptly replied to any follow up emails I had after our meeting. He was open and honest about how circumstances could change depending on what the crew found once they had taken up the roof. Ben provided insulation alternatives for the flat roof and the covered porch at the front of the house without any upselling. He checked in on the job in person throughout the process. I was really impressed with the crew who came out to do the work. They are obviously very skilled professionals who know what they're doing. They were very diligent and thorough. In fact, at no extra cost they resolved the omissions left by the roofers of the adjoining roof so that I would have my roof installed perfectly. They were polite and friendly as well as being respectful of my property and that of my neighbours. They cleaned up the site so well after the job was done that I wouldn't have known they had been there except for my attractive new roof. I absolutely recommend Higher Place Tree Care. Chris is professional yet friendly and, obviously, is a highly knowledgeable and skilled arborist. He was very prompt in responding to my request for a quote and came in person to very clearly explain what needed to be done to prune a large Norway maple at the back of my property. At no time did I feel like he was trying to "upsell" what needed to be done. The quote was reasonable and in keeping with the work required. Furthermore, the quoted cost was the price that I paid reinforcing my impression of the honesty of this company. Chris was very thorough and careful of my property when doing the work. I really like that Higher Place Tree Care is owner operated and would not hesitate to contact Chris again for future work.
