One of my eavestrough downspout needed repairs after it was removed by Toronto Hydro to repair my power cable connection. Alex of Toronto Roofers called me soon after I posted my request on Homestars. He asked me to email him some photos of the situation. He called back after he received the photos and gave me his estimate which I decided to accept. Alex came on the arranged date and completed the repairs quite expeditiously. Based on his service and friendly attitude in carrying out the repairs I can highly recommend Toronto Roofers for this type of work.

I hired Magnet Electric to fix a loose clevis that supports the Hydro power cables connected to my house as well as the straps securing the plastic piping holding the cables to my meter.. Within minutes of posting my request on Homestars I got a call from Daniel. He asked if I can email him some photos of where the cables are connected and after I sent him these he called back with his estimate and also emailed me with an Itemized invoice including the Hydro fee for disconnect/reconnect and ESA inspection fee. I decided to accept his estimate. Daniel made all the arrangements for the Hydro disconnect and reconnect of the cables as well as the ESA inspection then let me know what date the job can be done. He came on the specified date and completed the job then got the ESA inspector to check it and give the go ahead for the power cable reconnection. Unfortunately when the Hydro team came to do the reconnection they found that the meter base was defective and they couldnt do the reconnection until this was remedied. By this time Daniel had already left but when contacted he agreed to return within an hour. He would have to purchase a new meter base. He returned with a new meter base and got the problem fixed so that I could have power back on the same day. Daniel was always very accommodating and in frequent communication throughout our interactions. I am quite satisfied with his work and would highly recommend him.

I hired EMF Construction to build a new wood deck at the rear of my house and landscape my front yard which involved a complete overhaul of my old front yard. I didnt require a fancy wood deck just a plain work-a-day deck. My old deck had to be demolished and all debris removed from site. All debris was cleared from the ground below and a layer of gravel was spread all over. The deck was constructed using pressure treated lumber. All the deck posts were grounded in solid concrete and all beams secured with metal brackets, screws and bolts. Eddy and Tiago did a solid job in the construction and I expect my deck to last for many years. My front yard was in a poor state of disrepair and based on two other jobs they did for me (rear deck and front porch), without getting any other estimates I hired EMF Construction again to do a complete overhaul and landscaping. This job involved a lot of work removing a lot of heavy old wooden beams, old wood fence, old bricks and earth. The land had to be graded and prepared for interlocking stone. Concrete footings were cast for stone retaining walls and a stone front fence. All the work took just over two weeks and Eddy, Tiago and Danny had to do some very hard work completing the job. Im pleased with the job these guys did and now I have a great looking front yard. I would highly recommend EMF Construction.

I selected Gitano roofing to remove old shingles and re-shingle my roof and I'm glad I did. From our first of many communications both Sabrina and Vishal were very forthcoming and helpful in answering all my questions and concerns. Sabrina was always keeping me up-to-date on materials delivery and the date for for starting the job. They also cover their work with an extensive warranty period. On the start date the work crew arrived very early in the morning and immediately began making preparations then started working on the roof. They worked at a very fast pace and completed the roof work so quickly that I was concerned as to whether they did a thorough and professional job. Both Vishal and Sabrina assured me that the roofers are professionals and their work is very high quality. The yard clean up was very thorough and the crew ensured every scrap of debris was removed. They sent me photos of the completed roof and I have to say that my new roof looks really pristine. I would highly recommend Gitano Roofing for any roofing work.

I hired EMF Construction to surface my open concrete front porch with stone tiles and I’m pleased with the work he and his team did. Eddy readily answered all my questions and concerns about the project and he and his team went about the job in a highly professional way. The team were all friendly and helpful and went about their job cheerfully even though the weather was very hot and humid. I’m glad I got such a great team to work on my project.
