My old roof was leaking so needed to replace it. The following things were done: - old roof was scraped off thoroughly and damaged boards replaced - insulation added with benefit of creating incline for better drainage - installed 4 new vents - there weren't any on the roof which explains why the prior roof was problematic - installed new furnace cap - extended one of the air pipes to exceed minimum length - lowered the scuppers to improve drainage - installed IKO torchflex tp-180-ff fiber glass base sheet around pipes, vents and walls, and metal dripedge - torched down IKO torchflex tp 250 cap sheet to complete the 2-ply system - replaced the metal caps Oswaldo and team did a great and thorough job! There were a bunch of small jobs that showed his attention to detail. There were a few things that could have been a bit better: - keeping the sidewalk clear whenever possible (some of my neighbours complained about trucks/boards straddling the sidewalk - it happens) - end of day cleanup (although final cleanup removed everything) - check-in at the start of the day, and job status at the end of the day (Oswaldo is a decent guy and communicates well, he just needs to spend a little time chatting with the client.) I think GDO installed a 10/10 flat roof given their attention to so many details. I'd definitely recommend GDO for replacing/repairing flat roofs!

I called Aviv Plumbing on a Thursday morning about a basement leak originating from our kitchen sink drainpipe. A plumber arrived within two hours -- two hours earlier than estimated. He determined quickly that the leak was not easily accessible and needed to get behind the drywall. I needed time to clear out the space for him to work so he setup a time to return on the Friday morning. As promised, he returned this morning. He opened a relatively small hole in the rec room ceiling and replaced the section of the drainpipe that failed. This was a tricky job that required a couple of hours to be completed safely (i.e. drainpipe flush with electrical and kitchen subfloor -- things you discover behind the drywall). The plumber was friendly, professional, and cleaned up the debris. I can use my sink and dishwasher again!! I recommend Aviv Plumbing. I have used them previously to install the dishwasher.
