After discovering that the waterproofing in our basement was tied into a drainage system that had NO sewer backflow valve, I was in a panic. I called a few companies for a quote and was most impressed with Malik at New Canadian. He was extremely thorough, respectful and very informed. There were a number of other plumbing issues that came to light during the installation of the backflow valve (100 year old house with original drains) so we opted to do a full replacement. The work was done efficiently, as neatly as possible and with a tremendous amount of respect for the home-owners and the neighbours. The workmen were cheerful, hardworkers and lovely people. I cannot recommend this company enough. It is over a year later and I notice a difference in the water pressure and the drains. I am so happy that I chose this company.

I have an enormous metal flatfile in my home studio that I needed to move around. Having it stationary really limits the space. I needed a custom made dolly with very strong wheels to be built to suit the drawers. McWood did a fantastic job: locking wheels, very, very sturdy. It is an elegant solution to my otherwise clunky storage system. They made and delivered the dolly with very little notice and I was thrilled with the service. I would recommend this company for custom made woodwork.

I already wrote a review on this company but as we have had them back more than once and more work was done, I have to say that I am very, very satisfied again! We moved in to our place in 2012 and had a number of doors and windows to replace. I got a number of quotes and was very happy with the care and attention that Gabriel of Eco Choice gave us. The installation was very successful. For this reason I had them come back a second and a third time to do the other windows and doors that we needed done. We worked over a three year period, having them install things as we could afford them. Gabriel always gave us very good attention, remembered our business, appreciated our customer loyalty and followed up with us to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. I would not hesitate to use this company again. They are fantastic.

I had an emergency following the coldest week on record in February in Toronto. The 40 year old boiler was making a strange smell. The repair person from Atlas Care came that day. He discovered the source of the problem (collapsed chimney liner and very old boiler held together by caulking). Needless to say I was in a panic about exposure to CO. However, the repairman was quite reassuring - his CO detector was not going off. Nothing of my existing system could be salvaged (nor did I want it to be) and as I had had plans for some time to replace everything with a dual system I was thrilled when the repairman told me that he could send over the salesman that evening. Rudy (the salesman) provided a very, very thorough consultation and gave numerous reassurances about the install of the system and the way in which things would work. He also brought us two brand new space heaters to use while we lived without heat and hot water for three days. It was rough but not as rough as it could have been. Then John came with two additional installers 36 hours later. He was very thorough in helping me to plan things out in the basement for maximum efficiency and took the time to explain the system to me. The installers made a full installation of the new system in 2 days. John and his crew were experts. We lost heat on Monday, they came Wednesday and we had it by Thursday at 5 that same week. This was done in addition to a full move of the system to the other side of the basement to have it vent out the side of the house instead of up the chimney (with the new high - efficiency systems this is possible). In addition to this, there was a full de-installation of nearly 7 decades of old pipes that created a wall of metal and cast iron between where the old boiler had been and where the new one was installed. The amount of labour was extensive and the team were incredibly skilled, efficient, respectful, and tidy. Rudy followed up over the next two days to make sure that everything had been done to meet our expectations. He was extremely thorough and even took the time to explain the system to me over again. The new install of the new hot water tank and boiler was seamless (beautiful!) with maximum space liberated in the basement. Everything was placed carefully in consultation with me and I could not have been more pleased and relieved. Yes, it was expensive, but considering that everything needed to be replaced as it was all well over the age when it could be rehabilitated, I did not expect that it would be 1959 prices. Atlas care also set me up with a financing company that provided an open loan that can be paid off any time without exorbitant penalties making the transition easier for our family costs. All in all, Atlas Care made the experience effortless and I would not hesitate to call them if I was ever in such a position again. I plan to use their maintenance plan for as long as they offer it. If anything goes with the new system, I know that I can depend on them. This was one February that I will not forget. I'm just glad that this company gave me such terrific support. This company is so terrific. They came to our place shortly after we bought it and moved in. We notices carpenter ants in the ceiling and mice in the kitchen. They took care of both. One year later and there are no more problems. In fact, I thought the ants had come back so I called them. Mr Ahmed took a very close look in the cieling (where they had been before) and he showed me that all that was there were the old shavings from the ants before they were fumigated last year. There were no more ants. He put a little powder down just in case and then didn't even charge me for the visit. If only every company was like this. Pesticon staff are courteous, professional, they know their business and are so, so generous with their time and their expertise. I can't recommend them enough. I am thrilled.

I would definitely recommend this company. Gabriel came to do a quote and walked around with me. He was an exceptional person to deal with in that he knew all about the technical requirements of my renovation. I need to have a door replaced with two windows, one fixed and one openable. In addition to this I needed to have another door and a window installed, replacing an existing door and window set. The workmanship for both these projects was really good - very efficient install - no delay. Alex came to install the windows and he knew what he was doing and took a great deal of pride in the results. I had asked that in both cases, the bottom of the door frame be raised above the yard by one foot (in case of water - these were back windows and doors). Alex did a beautiful job - using flashing to make a clear and secure looking exterior, framing the bottom of the door and the window and ensuring the everything matched perfectly. I had some workers come later to install insulation and drywall on the inside of the house to seal it up and they commented also that he had done a very good job. I am going to have another set of windows replaced later this year and I am definitely going to go with ECO CHOICE. They ensured that my renovation was very worry free. It was a more complicated renovation that simply replacing existing windows and they did the job with great results. Thank you Gabriel and Alex. JP
