A year ago we had Clarke Basements upgrade our pedestal sump pump to the Triple Safe sump pump in our new home (best thing we ever did!!). Matt came out to perform our annual service on our sump pump to make sure everything was running the way it is supposed to. Matt was great - he was on time, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Matt explained everything to me that he was going to do as part of the service and was happy to answer my questions. At the end of the appointment, he brought a couple of cracks in my basement to my attention, and even took the time to investigate the outside of my home to check for these cracks. He did not pressure me in any way to have the cracks fixed, but explained what to look for in case the cracks became worse or started to leak. My rating for this review is not reflective of Matt's work - if this review was solely based on Matt, it would be a 10/10.
I have rated this review 9/10 (4/5 for the company, 5/5 for recommending the company) because when we had our new pump installed, we were informed that with the new pump, the first service would be free (service is normally > $200). When I called to book the appointment, I was upset to find out that this was not the case since there was nothing indicated on my file. However, the lady on the phone (Stephanie) went out of her way to work with me to come to a solution for the misunderstanding and I really appreciate the effort she made on my behalf. Yes, this was partially my fault for not ensuring this promise was in writing, but the way it was explained to us was that it was all part of the new sump pump. I have learned my lesson.
I will be calling Clarke again next year for my annual service. I strongly recommend Clarke...just be sure to get everything in writing, especially if sales guy or installation guys promise a free first service.
