I have recently replaced a 20 year old garage door. I have done my due diligence and learnt about the door types, vendors and installers. Called 3 installers including Upright Door Service. The other two were backed by very established large companies. At the end I choose Upright Door Services for the professionalism they have shown during the pre-sales process and their reasonable price. Alan Fortnum (the owner of the company) came to my house brought all door samples color swatches (he even left them with me to take my time and decide) was very patient and answered all my question and left. This happened in 2012 October. I decided to wait, called again in 2013 spring, he gave me a new quotation with their new promotion everything over the email and with all the detail. I was happy, accepted the quote just via email. They have ordered the door (didn't have my color in stock) called and booked the installation date based on expected door delivery. Then came right on time and removed all existing stuff and installed all new stuff. The installation was done by Alan's Son and Brother. I was extremely happy with everything. I will definitly recommend them. It seems to be a family business and the family members are doing everything unlike the big companies sending contractors who may not always be reliable or provide the same service.

I got my roof done by City Roofing and Aluminum Co. There are some issues with the installation. Called them and left voice message at least 6 times and sent emails 3 times but no response at all. These people give warranty for many years but their behaviour clearly tells me that they were only looking for one time business from the beginning and they are ready to even give 50 years of warranty as they know they will NEVER honour it anyway. Go with reputable companies. At least you can avoid this company and get in to similar trouble that I am going through.
