Our 30+ year old white stucco condo complex was in need of some serious TLC. We received quotes and opinions about restoration from at least 6 different companies (2 painting and 4 stucco experts). Derek Padgett was the most knowledgeable, professional, and flexible person who came out to our site and at the same time the most concerned about maintaining the integrity of our building. We ended up with only 2 quotes that we put forward for consideration, his and another highly reputable company. What set Padgett's apart at that stage was their ability to do full building maintenance including eaves and downspouts, flashing, masonry and stucco, window glazing ... the list goes on. After having Derek and his team working on our building we absolutely know we made the right choice. Derek and his team work with extreme care and with a meticulous attention to detail but he also came in on time and within budget. I am sure his interior work is as meticulous as his exterior work. He knows his stuff, ensures that all safety precautions are taken with his crew, is remarkably patient when dealing with his customers, and is all in all an excellent tradesperson. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him at all.

We live in a area not far from many big box hardware stores, but whenever we're in a pinch our local Home Hardware in the Beaches delivers. It's not a matter of stock but a matter of truly helpful staff who are knowledgeable and professional and who will recommend where to go if they don't have what they need.

Dave is one of those rare contractors these days who does not make you feel like he's doing you a favour by turning up on time, being friendly and professional, and doing the job right. I know that cleaning a dryer vent doesn't sound like a big deal but this wasn't an ordinary dryer vent -- we had poor access, poorly constructed venting (which he fixed), and a ceiling fan that had been wrongly spliced into the dryer vent and so was diminishing the efficiency of the vent (and filling the cavity with lint!). Dave, who came with his equally professional and friendly son, was wonderful and very fair with his pricing despite working long and hard (around 2 hours!) to complete the job. Thanks Dave, I wish there were more tradespeople like you out there!

I had 5 quotes for our job including three 10 star Homestars window installers and two contractors who neighbours were very happy with. Archie came to measure and give our quote; he was the *only* person who took the time to inspect all the windows, the frames, and to notice variations in measurements between windows in a double-story bay. His price was very competitive; I was actually really surprised! We had his team come first to replace 7 windows (including one massive window) and install a screen door; we liked them so much we had them back a few weeks later to replace the remaining windows in our home and add another screen door. Both times his team finished installing the windows in one day and came back the next to seal from the outside. They were polite, efficient, and professional. Archie was a delight to work with. I would highly recommend this company!
