My problem with this company is the horrible customer service - the actual work was fine and I've had no issues with water in my basement since it was done. They just never returned to put back the concrete walkway that was removed from the side of the house and won't return my calls. Salesperson Rick was super-nice when giving me an estimate for the work. The work crew was great too and finished up in a few days last fall. I was given an estimate of $2,000 for pouring new concrete at the side of the house but was told to wait until spring, after the soil had settled. Sounded great and I was happy...until the spring arrived. No one would return my calls! After a month I finally was able to get Rick to come over with Steve, the concrete contractor to take measurements, etc. I was told I would get an estimate in a few days. Nope. Nothing! Over the next 3 months I called the company's office and left messages. I called Rick and left messages pleading for just a return call to tell me what was going on. Nothing! After paying them over $10,000 you would think they would treat you better than this. Now I have only gravel on the side of my house - no sidewalk. My question to the company (I will be shocked if they reply): Will the 25 year guarantee for the waterproofing be honoured if water comes in because there is no concrete walkway protecting the work? I could never recommend a company that makes a promise (in writing no less) - Call us in the spring and we'll come back and do the concrete for around $2000 - and then refuses to honour that promise or even call the customer to discuss options.

I have been a customer of C. Mitchell & Son for 15 years now and I keep coming back because they are completely TRUSTWORTHY. That's not the first thing you think of when you think of a roofing company! I never have to worry that they'll try to talk me into getting work done that I don't need. Roy, Kevin and the whole crew are professionals and always do a great job. You might have a hard time getting a callback, mainly because they are so busy, but persevere because it will be worth it. Thanks Roy and Kevin for giving me peace of mind (priceless)!

I called Atiar because my gas oven did not light and we booked an appointment for the very next day. He arrived on time and was very pleasant and polite. He explained exactly what the problem was and how to fix it - a new igniter was required. He had the new part on hand and it was fixed within 30 minutes. I heard Atiar on the telephone diagnosing problems that people were calling him about - of the 3 calls he received, he told 2 people that it was not in their best interest to repair and that it would be cheaper for them to buy a new appliance. He could easily have taken their money but instead he gave them good advice for free. If you want an honest and hard working appliance repair person, Hightech is the company you should call! Thank you Atiar.

After a big thunderstorm, my basement floor drains backed up and the basement flooded. I called Public Plumbing, they returned my call within 10 minutes and Mike came over within the hour. He put a camera in the drain to inspect it and found a tree root was partially blocking the trap. Mike showed me the problem on the screen and clearly explained everything that needed to be done to fix it. The drains were cleared and the next day a new trap was installed as well as two new clean outs. The crew who came to do the work were very neat and tidy. They carefully removed my stairs and also took care not to damage my garden. They hosed everything down and when they were finished it looked like they were never even here at all! It is so hard to find a reputable drain company that won't try to talk you into thousands of dollars of work. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike and Public Plumbing to anyone who needs drain repairs done promptly and for a reasonable price. Thanks Mike!!

Fantastic work and customer service! I had a problem with water seeping into the basement wall and A & A fixed my problem quickly and at an affordable price. They didn't try to talk me into more expensive work, only what was necessary and they did little extras to go beyond that. Joe seems to be a perfectionist so the new brickwork and parging looks just great! Thanks guys!!
