I would highly recommend this company and have done so with all my neighbours. I dealt with Krista and she was fabulous. Our whole street had shingles blow off the roof during a wind storm. We called several places from Homestars and waited a week before anyone would get back to us by phone let alone come out for a quote. We're still waiting to hear back from several companies! We finally got 2 quotes. Both told us that the whole roof would have to be replaced. Which was hard to hear since the house is only 7 years old. A friend recommended Chouinard. After making the call, Krista came out that afternoon while I was still at work! They were hugely busy following an ice storm, but she was in the area so she squeezed us in. She took every possible picture of my roof (which I wasn't expecting, as none of the others had done this) and gave me a quote by email immediately. We spoke later that evening - I never once heard "someone will get back to you" or "it takes a while to prepare a quote". Krista was great at explaining everything and was very experienced and knowledgeable with the insurance side of everything. The whole process was quick and painless and we're very happy with our roof now. We will definitely use these guys again for repairs and intend to use them when the whole roof DOES need to be replaced.

Like most we did our research and tried out several places. We'd done a kitchen before and learned what not to do. After reading the reviews on Homestars we selected 3 places and compared each. Select was truly the best. The customer service is by far the best and you feel it as soon as you walk in the door. Gustov talked to us about the different stone and the best way to cut so that we would have minimal seams like this was a passion of his. We dealt with Alexandra and Jan when placing the order and we were not the easiest customers. To start, we had to rush out of town for a funeral and would be gone a couple of weeks. Jan arranged a rush templating for us so the project wouldnt be further delayed. Then I got the timing wrong and Jan had to work her magic again with scheduling. The island wasn't even installed yet but Nick helped us with a template and made excellent suggestions! Then our quartz was out of stock and Jan had to call all over and found the last 2 slabs out in Winipeg! She stayed on the supplier for us and made sure that the stone was delivered ASAP. We felt like Jan was really looking after us. I honestly believe we never would have gotten the countertops without Jan. We needed another templating after the cabinet guy moved some things around and Jan made it happen again on a rush to keep us on schedule. The quartz delivery ran us close to the plumbing schedule. Alexandra had to jump through hoops but, she got us the installation on the Friday of a long weekend. installation was perfect and everything fit like a glove. The guys were quiet and clean fussed with the tiniest details - even the silicone is pefect. I hate seeing silicone around the sink. Through all this, not only did we get a great price on our countertops which we love, but these guys worked above and beyond to keep us on schedule and never made us feel like we were inconveniencing them which i'm sure we were! we learned that they take great care of they're employees and respect their schedules as well. You got to trust a company that takes care of their people too. Thanks again Select! We're doing 2 bathrooms in the spring and will definitely use these guys then. I just hope things run smoother on our end!
