There are many good windows and installation companies out there, with great R values and terrific features and Torwin is no exception. But Torwin does really outstanding aluminum work to showcase those windows. They transformed the front of our house, far beyond our expectations. They went further than the contract stipulated because they couldn't stand looking at the sloppy transition to the old steel work. Pride. So rare. This was the final window replacement to go into our 1966 split level and I wish I had called them for the earlier jobs. Thanks to all.

The day they delivered the cabinets, and before they installed them, Kitchen Gallery demanded payment in full. No mention was made of this during the sales cycle. My wife could not reach me on the phone and paid. There were mistakes in measuring and some cabinets were the wrong size and reached into the next room. Naturally they wanted the money when they saw their mistake. There was much complaining about our uneven floor. Even a cheaper IKEA kitchen system can cope with that. The paint they used bubbles when a damp kitchen towel is hung over it and the paint also chips easily. In a few years we will just replace all the fronts of the cabinets. The counter top company expressed concerns about installing the counter tops because the cupboards were not level. They were persuaded to by Kitchen Gallery - a perfect job but there were gaps underneath - a bit free floating. I tapped in shivs myself to get that proper support. Kitchen Gallery said they had done it when they had not. Contracts are not itemized so when some features sold to us were not delivered they can escape. But we tired of talking to them and frankly didn't want them back in the house. One day they entered our house without first informing us. The key to the house was not returned and we changed the locks on the doors. Libel laws prevent me from expressing how I really feel. I am unhappy that I cannot give them a zero on this rating system.

I started this project as a closet and my wife changed her mind and decided on a bathroom. I got part way thru it and ran out of gas. Chris saved me from my nightmare, and man is he fussy. I am extremely happy with the result and the process. Chris is considerate to a fault. Chris also takes his quotes very seriously. They are detailed, he gives timelines, he takes time to thoroughly understand all the problems he may encounter so he does not hand you any surprises. Chris takes care with everything and, in my experience, is a generous person.
