I highly recommend Pesticon Pest Control. I sent a request at 10:00 pm and they responded to my request within 30 minutes, provided a quote at the same time and booked an appointment for 9:00 am the next morning. I’m still waiting to hear from the two other companies I sent requests to. If you want prompt, courteous, professional small animal removal, Pesticon is the company to call. Blair arrived promptly at 9:00 as promised. He was very friendly and asked questions so he could prepare for the removal. Once he assessed the situation, he found two baby possums in my dryer, one dead but one still alive. He talked me through everything he was doing and in the end, he reached in, with gloves, grabbed the little critter and pulled it out. See the photo of the happy smiling possum, now that it’s free! What was an anxious situation for me, was taken care of by Blair in 15 minutes in a respectful, calming way, which was much appreciated. Thank you Pesticon and many thanks to Blair! July 14 update: Three days after Pesticon removed the opossum, I finally got a call from the second company and I never heard from the third one. The poor animal would be dead while waiting for a call back. Save yourself aggravation and call Pesticon first, they actually care about the homeowner and the wildlife. **Since I requested the opossum be released back in my yard, it’s been happily busy cleaning it of cherries and insects, a win/win for both of us!

When I opened & tried to start my central for the 2012 season I realized I had a problem. I contacted the company that the unit was purchased from & I spoke to 2 people that were rude & of no help. I went through the yellow pages, hoping to find someone that could be of assistance when I saw Laird & Son under a/c repair. I remembered my friend's recommendation of Laird & Son as a great company to replace my hot water heater, so I gave them a call. The first person I spoke to was Heather. She was very pleasant and gave me several dates and times to chose from, to have a service tech could come out & fix the problem. I was given an appointment between 3:00 & 4:00 and Sam arrived promptly at 3:00. He was very professional and courteous. He checked the outside unit then asked to see the fuse panel. Within a few minutes he had determined that the fuse responsible for the outside unit had blown. Sam replaced the fuse and got the fan running again. He checked the coolant level and my a/c was back in business. It was a simple fix and this wonderful technician found it, fixed it and didn't try to scam me into buying a new air conditioner. I really appreciate the fact that Laird & Son has employees that are honest, helpful and knowledgeable. Ironically, while Sam was here for the service call, a fellow + his trainee showed up asking to check my hot water tank. They said they were checking on homes with older tanks and that they would replace them for free. They implied that Direct Energy had contracted them out to replace customer's tanks without charge. I was almost ready to sign the booking for replacement when Sam advised me that they probably weren't working for Direct Energy and I should be careful of what I signed. I took his advice & asked for the contract & contact information. After they left I read the brochure they had left and sure enough Sam was right, they were one of those scammers we've all heard about that sign you up and lock you in. Had I signed that contract I would have been stuck with something I didn't need. I'm so glad Sam was there as a voice of reason and so glad he was able to get my air conditioning fixed. It's rare to find an honest and reliable company to deal with, but I found one in Laird & Son and would recommend them to all of my friends & family for their hot water tank, heating & air conditioning needs.
