Seamless process. No overselling. Certainly competent. This is our second job with Red Robin. Clearly a professional company. Not a lot of communication with the workers - we assumed (and were correct) the job was complete when the scaffolding was gone. Thank you for the completion pictures.

Sean is fantastic with plastering. Ours was a complex job with holes in the drop down ceiling. It was better for us to do the entire floor than just the one area and the results are astonishing. We found Sean very responsive with texting. During the day he really doesn't use his phone as he is hard at work. He showed up on time or earlier every day. Willing to take care of fine details so the job was just right. We added in priming and painting in the end. Although it was messy/ dusty, it was much less messy than the scrapping method of removing drywall. Sean covered the popcorn with a product and then recoated and plastered until the finish was as smooth as marble. I would recommend you be prepared to have your carpets washed after, and/or do a lot of dusting and vacuuming as there is a lot of dust as the plaster dries. I found Sean's pricing reasonable having checked with 4 other highly rated services and would not hesitate to recommend this lovely Irish fellow.

I contacted several companies on Homestars. Two provided solutions involving realignment of the eavestrough - an inelegant design or dropping heating wires that in fact would not work with our existing structure with built in gutter protection both solutions ran about $1250 each. Instead i paid for a gutter cleaning and inspection with Lou's firm and he suggested a hand made solution to deal with an overflow issue on a corner of our flat roof. He was correct in his design and suggestion. We had no overflow ice build up on the wall this winter. I waited to post this review until after a winter had passed. Thank you for your competent service!

Infill of basement window with blocks. Parging partial back end of house Securing paving stones on steps that were falling out. Small tuck point repair of loose stone at bottom of pillar Cutting craggy stones at gate to a clean finish. I only had one job in mind when I contacted Red Robin (Parging partial back end of house and Infill of basement window with blocks). But learning about the services they do, and with the Estimator pointing out other issues, my mind was blown away by the amount of "fixing" that could be accomplished. All I can say is WOW. Well worth the investment from my perspective. Also, your personnel, estimating, job planning and workmen were professional. Loved the estimate with photos. Thanks so much!

Henry is a gentleman who knows how to fix just about anything electrical. Over the years H&H Electric - run by Henry - has repaired my washing machine, oven, freezer, furnace, air conditioner, installed electrical lines, admonished me for paying too much for an inferior electrical panel upgrade - I forgot he did this for some weird reason- hung ceiling fixtures. I trust him implicitly and take his advice whether to repair or replace. His work is thorough and he's a wonderful and trustworthy person. You will not be disappointed if he can fit you into his schedule. Mainly works downtown east toronto

My last garage repairman told me if I ever had to replace the door I'd be in trouble as they don't make them this size any longer. Fast forward to my broken hinged door with punk wood supports and failing opener. I contacted 3 service providers. Steve was responsive, totally professional. He was a carpenter previously and I felt he had the background to tackle my problem install. He helped guide me to the best door for my needs and built in the framework for the smaller door and was able to mount a rear mounted opener for my tiny garage in Riverdale. Super pleased - the weather proofing has made my garage like a new room. Insulated and perfect fit. Hat's off to your great service from first call to last.

Thanks for the kind review Lisa. Was definitely one of the tougher installs we've done this year, but glad it's all working for you.

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

I contacted Hotwire after my neighbour had their panel changed with them. They came highly recommended to me. The team was on time and professional, all work was done before scheduled time. It was to be an 8am to 2pm job and they finished faster than anticipated and turned my power back on. I am pleased with their work, the neat new panel area and I am awaiting a quote me on additional repairs now. Thank you As an updated, the company would not provide a quotation for additional work requested despite several calls. I was very surprised. ( I had to update the price by updating my review and do not remember the price so put in $1000)
