This company did re roofing a new roof and siding on garage. Their top roofer according to them forgot drip edge on porch, failed to clean up nails, failed to shovel snow thrown from roof, and forgot flashing between home and garage. They ignored 35 phone calls and 5 emails between June and October. They finally responded October 18, denying any responsibility and refusing to warranty their poor work. They did however send their eves subcontractor out 3 times even after being told it was a roof issue not eves. I have had an accredited roofer out to inspect the roof and theres no drip edge installed and the shingles should have been left with more of an overhang due to the low slope of the roof. This company has left me with water dripping all winter behind the eves causing massive ice build up on my stairs. The roof and eves on the porch only dropped slightly at the joins of the plastic eves prior to ENRG touching it now its a dripping mess!

Approximate cost of services:
$14,000.00

Company Response

The drip edge was not forgotten and has been installed and I do have photos showing this. It was installed prior to the eavestrough and was photographed by Sheldon at the eave install. You had stated that your contractor had told you that the drip edge was not the right size. You had said that we didn't install the drip edge. You had said that you had your accredited roofer replace the drip edge. You had said that the inspector would see that there is no drip edge. All very confusing to me. We have not ignored your e-mails and phone calls,(there have been several) and there is in fact no way to appease you. We have suggested to have an ARCA Accredited Roof Inspector go out to assess the roof and if in fact there is an issue with the install we would be happy to correct it, we have sent out the service tech and the eaves installer. We have not refused to warranty the work as there is simply nothing to warranty. To date you have rejected everything that I have said or suggested.

As stated previously:
1. The roof is done correctly and to all industry standards.
2. The drip edge is an industry standard drip edge.
3. The overhang of the shingles is also the industry standard.
4. The issue with water running behind your trough is not a roof issue.

The proper solution to resolve this issue is to close off the top edge of the eavestrough and up under the drip edge with some custom metal to extend the eavestrough back.
