We hired Jason for a few odd jobs around the house. Some of them were done very well. Others were left incomplete or the quality of materials used was sub par. Work completed in a week included drywall in the basement, in the dining room, changing the toilets to new ones for all the bathrooms, caulking all sinks in the home and painting certain parts of the home etc. Quite a few odd jobs. Things done really well: polite staff, came on time the first week. The work they did was well done in the living room. The paint and patch work, level of cleanliness was acceptable. The basement work was reasonably well also. Some parts underneath which are hard to see, were not done and there was a good 3 hours of clean up left for me to do after they left. The caulking around some of the sinks initially was all peeling off. they came back to fix some of these, but others they said they would be back later to complete and have never come back. The paint in the main level was fine, but in one of the bathrooms is quite bad. We asked them to come back to fix it. He made note of it, agreed to come back but never did. Eventually i offered to pay him more just to repaint, but he has never come back to complete this work. The toilets were installed well. A couple of them leaked and the staff came to look at it right away. But that was all the after support he has sent. I have reached out to Jason quite a few times before I have posted this add to give them fair chance since we are in a pandemic. I reached out to him August, October, December. In those conversations he said he would be in touch to follow up. However, he has not responded to my texts from January or February. The job started March 2020. If he finishes his work, it would be good. But since he hasn't been reliable I would not recommend home stars or this company or give them any more of my business.

MK, I understand you are not completely satisfied with the job we did for you and I would like to respond to your review.
The bathroom in the basement you are referring to, was in a very unsanitary condition when we began work. We did clean up after ourselves in the areas we worked on. If you spent 3 hours cleaning, it was not because of our work or any mess we left behind. You asked for one wall to be painted in the upstairs bathroom, which we did and it was mentioned to you that it would not match (even though we used the same colour) due to the fact that the other walls had aged with time. At that time you did not want to pay the extra to have the entire room painted. However after seeing it completed it was obvious that the entire room really did need to be painted. You did offer to pay more, but I said I would come back and paint the room for you myself when I get a down day at no extra charge as we wanted you to be happy with the results. Unfortunately, with Covid and the continual lockdowns etc., we have not been able to do any indoor work for quite a while now. I am classified as being compromised and I need to be extremely cautious to keep myself, my employees and my family safe and healthy. I realize it has been a long time but it really has been out of my control.
Our company prides itself on a job well done and we are sorry this has not been your experience. Once Covid is over and we are cleared to return to indoor work, I hope you will give us the opportunity to return and complete the small areas you feel need attention. You said yourself we did a good job and I would like you to continue to feel that way.
