Having already had a bad experience with a previous contractor I decided to try Home Stars to find someone who came well reviewed. Frames Building Renovations was one of four contractors I had contacted from Home Stars to give me a quote. I received a call from Julie later that night and she was there the next day to give me an estimate. Julie was the last in line of contractors to give me a quote that day and I had almost cancelled because I thought I had already found the next contractor to hire. I am so happy I didn’t make that call. From the first meeting with Julie I was immediately set at ease. She took her time to walk through everything with me and make suggestions that I had never thought of but made all the difference. While other contractors were in and out quickly enough and had provided their estimate, Julie actually sat down with me at the end of her walk through to go through design ideas while making recommendations and taking the time to go over any questions I had. This was hugely appreciated as I had never undertaken a renovation of this size before. We were working on a specific time line and Julie and her team never failed to deliver. Her team was always on time and communication was never an issue. We had our basement family room renovated - new flooring, window framing, painting, drywall ceiling with pot lighting Added and drywall done. We also had the main floor of our bungalow painted, a subway tile backsplash added to our kitchen, new flooring on our stairs to the basement and new drywall and ceiling done to our laundry area, not to mention all the Other odds and ends we requested to be completed in our older home. Julie never failed to deliver, she and her team have the experience to complete any request. Julie was not the cheapest quote I received nor was it the most expensive and I feel like it was worth every penny. I appreciated all the attention to detail and I felt like I was leaving our project in very capable and trustworthy hands. I would definitely recommend Julie and her team to family and friends and I hope to work again with her in the future.
