We went out for 3 quotes with a rough idea of what we wanted to do for our ~1100 sqft basement project which included a wet bar and bathroom. Level Ups price estimate was in line with the other quotes, but Michael (Level Up owner) was the best when it came to answering questions and giving an honest opinion on ideas/options. His quote was broken out line by line for each piece of scope by materials and labour, which was appreciated for the transparency when there were additions and deletions. Not all contractors do this and it was a factor in choosing Level Up. After we signed the contract, we had a good idea of the layout we wanted when it came to the detailed design phase. Ashley (Designer) was able to take our sketches and provide high quality 3-D/2-D drawings, and she also provided us with alternative arrangements for us to consider. She was excellent during the design and material selection phase, there were a few hiccups with material availability, but she was very attentive and worked hard to resolve any issues. Once we were set on the design and material selection, the schedule was provided and everything was done on time and very quickly. We have a complicated basement with many angles and obstacles, but Michaels crew made quick work of it, with framing, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, drywall done in 10 days, mud/tape took a week, painting/flooring/tiles another week, final finishes and wet bar installation were done in just a few days. We were very satisfied with the overall schedule as the whole process was completed in ~6 weeks. Communication was excellent during this process, there were a few minor issues, but Avtar (Construction Supervisor) was quick to take care of anything that came up and keep us aware of any changes to the schedule. Thank you to the labourer(s) that moved all of the raw materials in/out of the basement and took all of the garbage away. They were polite and careful when bringing everything into/out of the house. We have a beautiful result and a great space for our friends and family to hang out and enjoy.
