We decided to sell our home but needed to do a few things prior to listing our home and one of the items was to make our driveway look brand new. We had an asphalt driveway but some of the stones were showing and it looked weathered and tired. The driveway was about 10 years old, double lane and about 50 ft long. We had it repainted a few years prior but it lost it's nice dark black colour so we wanted to do it again. My neighbour suggested Anita's so we called them up and said they will be in the neighbourhood within a week doing other projects. Three men arrived at the scheduled date and reviewed my situation and gave me a cost that was a tad higher than I expected. However, Paul, the lead worker, informed me they use a rubberized asphalt sealer not available in stores in Canada and is a superior product that last 2 to 3 years. It sounded good to me and so the three men commenced to clean my entire driveway, fill in any holes, seal cracks before applying the rubberized sealer. They use a squeegee to carefully move the sealer around without touching and curbs or plants and Paul was a master of his craft. The three men were a very organized team and finished my driveway within a couple of hours and it looked fabulous. It looked as if I just laid down new asphalt, all holes and cracks were not visible. We allowed 24 hours for it to dry, they installed barriers so no cars would turn into the driveway and we started to use it the next day. It lasted the whole summer and it still looked new. After this past awful winter, the driveway still has that dark black look and we are very pleased with the result. Obviously that thicker rubberized sealer is worth the few extra dollars and I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

We needed to replace our 14 year old patio stones and front walkway as they were chipped, eaten by the salt and the frost heaved several stones. I couldn't afford real stone so I found this company's product at Home Depot and I liked the look as I really thought they were real stone but in fact it was man-made, concrete patio stone. I found out that you can buy directly from the distributor so I decided to go there to save money compared to retail stores. This company had many installations so you can see what they would look like and worked with the sales lady to determine how many stones I require of each size as there were about 4 different sizes. The were reasonably priced, small charge for delivery and they delivered on time like they said they would. Stones arrived in the morning, were packed well on skids and there were no damaged stones in the three skids ordered. I would recommend these stones to others, the company was efficient for me and service was good.

The owner, Paolo Fonte, is a master at his craft. We needed a new kitchen, among other cabinetry, and needed help with the design and creativity. We found Five Star Kitchens through word of mouth in the industry and decided to ask them to see our location and get some ideas. Paolo is a hard working, immigrant and is easy to deal with. He's listens attentively and is quite passionate about his work. After asking us some questions he came up with a design which we loved. We hired him and went to see how the cabinets were coming along at his shop during the process and even made some changes as we went along. His work is outstanding, reasonably priced considering the quality and other competitors, and his installation crew is also very good and respectful of your home when working to install the cabinets. Paolo also visits on site to check on the work to ensure it meets his standards. Paolo is a creative entrepreneur who is so passionate and proud of his work, he won't leave your place unless he's completely pleased with his work and to ensure you're pleased, or else he'll continue working until you are pleased. The only negative is his delivery time, he's known to be late on his delivery and I suspect that's because he's in such high demand now because of his reputation of being an excellent cabinet maker, and also because he gets personally involved in each project to ensure it meets the high quality he demands. If you can tolerate this, he offers the best value in my opinion. I would give him 10+++ across the board but I had to discount that rating because of his missed delivery schedule. I will always recommend Five Star Kitchens to anyone with the proviso you have to be aware he might be late in delivery, if you can live with that, you will be rewarded with the best quality workmanship in the industry.

Great, great service from a small, passionate company. We never had a pool and didn't know much so we were recommended to see this small store in south Etobicoke and Franca, the owner, was fantastic. She's completely knowledgeable of all aspects of pool maintenance and helped us tremendously with no bias towards anything. She has over 30 years experience in this field. She checked our water and recommended several steps to stabilize and bring all our levels back within range. It worked exactly like she said in the exact time frame. We also used her to close our pool in the fall and the crew arrived on time and were out within a couple of hours. They are very good in helping us learn the various aspects of closing and courteous. Will recommend this small, family run company to anyone with a pool, small or large.....they know what they're doing and are honest.

We have bought several items at this store as we feel it's the best priced for what you get. This time we were looking for a contemporary dining table and fell in love with an oval marble, single pedestal table. The sales people were very courteous and helpful. The downtown store has many items on display and you can browse at your leisure or have someone help you if time is limited. The sales person we spoke to is a designer and helped us with visualizing our entire dining room, that's a nice plus if you need help. The table was delivered on time and were setup by the delivery guys. Very respectful of our house, took their shoes off and set up the table. There was a minor scratch under the table and Robert, owner of Casalife, has been a pleasure to deal with in fixing the scratch. Highly recommend this store as they have good service and are priced competitively.

We worked with Paris Kitchens to design a new kitchen for our new condominium. They are very professional and their show room is very impressive. Their designers were well trained and knowledgeable, however we dealt with 3 designers throughout the whole process and sometimes a few items were not communicated clearly among designers. The designers are very skilled at what they do, lots of great ideas and their workmanship was top notch. Pricing is a bit steep however the quality of products is high so I guess you get what you pay for. We changed our minds several times, even though we agreed on something but rethought it after several days, and they were very accommodating in making the changes. However, if you make a change once production has started there will be a fee, and rightly so. Easy to work with, good quality and would recommend to those looking for a high end kitchen.

I used Dr. Green after having some issues with dead spots on my lawn. In addition I found my lawn would lose it's healthy green colour prematurely and wanted the lawn to look a healthy green colour all summer long. The company is great to work with, very courteous on the phone and their workers were very respectful. I use email with them and they notify me the day before any treatment is to be provided the following day, very reliable. They did a great job in analysing my lawn and recommended treatment and it looks great all summer long. Any time I had a problem I would call and they would fix it quickly, never had to argue, they are very reasonable. They have redone some treatment a couple of times when we didn't get the result we liked. I would recommend them to all my friends.

Mike is the owner of Alumicare and he is a great person to work with. I was planning to put up my house for sale and need all the eavestroughs and soffit cleaned from the grime and dirt, tiger lines, removed and wanted my aluminum to look new again. I had about 270 ft of aluminum to clean and it was not cleaned for 14 years. Mike and his crew came on time and finished the work just like they said they would. Very professional workers and were careful not to damage any of your plants. They even went the extra mile and removed any leaves in the eavestrough. This work required a lot of elbow grease and these young guys did an amazing job, the aluminum looked like it was just installed brand new. We were stunned at clean it looked. Don't know what cleaning agents they used but whatever it was they did a fabulous job. Would recommend them to anyone.

We required to replace two very large windows in the rear of the home. Arrow 2000 provided the most professional presentation and confidence for us to proceed with them. Their cost was fair and although they were a week late in their installation, the work done was very professional and the crew were fabulous. Very good not to dirty your home and removed all the old windows and garbage from our home. The windows look great and is made of top quality.

Overall I would give you a B plus rating. The workers are very good and polite. The customer service people on the phone are very nice and helpful, and fast. Just some minor issues: 1, Some of the workers who come on site don't realize I have a 3 foot strip of grass on the west side and usually miss treating it, don't know why as it's clear that my walk way is in line with it. 2. When the onsite workers see some weeds they should spot treat it right away, even if it's just to fertilize for that particular application. Doesn't hurt to have a bottle handy to spot treat them. Other than that, very good service.

My furnace just stopped working on a cold day and needed someone out fast so we can get heat. I called Direct Energy as they were the first one on my mind and they told me they would have someone out within 24 hrs. They arrived the next day, house was getting cold, but still bearable. The repariman was very nice, and quickly diagnosed the problem. I needed a new boiler. He didn't have the part so he called around to see if another reapairman had the part in their truck. He found one and went to get it and then returned to replace it. It took several hours, was a bit pricy but when it's cold you have to get it done, you pay for service and convenience. I would receommend them but be aware they are not the most cost effective company.

Required refinishing of my basement including installation of insulation, drywall, wainscotting, door and window trim, doors and hardware, buiilt in bookcase and other woodwork details, ie. beams in ceiling and columns. Very professional company with excellent skilled carpentry. Always arrived on time and if they couldn't make it they always called to keep my up to date on when they will come again. Billing was accurate and cost was reasonable. I have a 3200 sq ft basement so this was a lot of work over several weeks. The results were fabulous, excellent, skilled work and it showed. i always get compliments on the detail of the woodwork. I did the electrical, plumbing and painting myself. I highly recommend this company if you need major rennovations to your home or even if you wanted to build a new home, they are an excellent company. I dealt with one of the owners, Steve, and the head master carpenter, Fabrizio, who is so meticulous in his work. Thanks to both for a job well done.
