An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
Ten out of ten for Affordable Insulation! We discovered an exposed area of attic floor caused by wind, probably at the time of the original build, resulting in cold spots and moisture problems. I was prepared to consult three contractors and started with Affordable Insulation based on some very positive reviews. Jason responded promptly to our first enquiry. He came prepared to look into the attic and assess the job. More than product and cost details, he was generous with information. I received a fabulous education on insulation and moisture control! Adding the fact that it is a family business which I linked with control over the quality of workmanship, I immediately decided on this company. Couldn't imagine any other matching Jason's presentation. Our afternoon installation was delayed by a complicated morning installation job in another town. We were kept updated during the day. What impressed when they arrived was their determination to execute the job as promised, even when ours turned out to have it's own complications AND it meant a very long day for them. We were encouraged to inspect the job upon completion and the clean up was thorough. The temperature and moisture level is now even throughout the house thanks to the extra advice they provided.
