We needed to clear and level a 12 x 17 area in our backyard. Sounds easy, but the problem is that there is no machine access, six large armour stones that needed to be moved and a bin’s worth of soil to remove. We needed to clear the area to make space for a trampoline - not having a huge amount of work it seemed hard to get contractors interested in doing the hard labour. Russell responded to my job request on HomeStars and while he was busy, everyone is this summer, he got back to me a few weeks later once his calendar had some time available. He showed up quickly for a quote and provided shortly after his visit. Russell worked to accommodate our schedule which was helpful as we needed to coordinate with a few other projects and a availability. They showed up promptly and brought a solid team to manage the heavy labour. They were efficient and quick and got the job done, including coming up with an innovative approach to repurposing the armour stones.

New Look has been a favourite on our street for years. Our immediate neighbours and another family down the street used them recently and we were very impressed by the finished product. We needed 11 of the original (100 years old) windows in our house replaced as well as the French Door to the porch - which is an irregular (narrow) size. Alex came to the house within a few days of the call and efficiently measured the windows and door. We discussed the products and agreed on style and function. We received the quote within a day and it was on target. We then booked the install (a few months later) and the guys came promptly and worked the first day on the windows. It was a two day job and after day one they cleaned up all of the mess and debris from the demolition and returned the next day to complete the door. Saverio and his crew just finished lowering and underpinning our basement - they were excellent. Saverio started on time, finished early and came in on budget. He was on site every day and had was very responsive to any question I had. The whole team was tidy, efficient and well organized. I would recommend Cornerstone to anyone, and in fact already have to a friend looking for some waterproofing work.

Robert responded promptly to my request for an estimate. Upon arrival he inspected the roof and provided a detailed estimate for the job. The job was priced well, not the cheapest and not the most expensive of the other three quotes - no padded estimates. He was knowledgable and covered off all of the required services, costs and answered all of my questions. As a late-season job we had to work around the weather, once we got a break the team showed up and worked relentlessly into the evening. It was a bit hard to see all of the clean up required because they finished up in the dark, so Robert came back the next day to clean up and complete a few touch ups.
