I had hoped to avoid this ....but.......as Homestars asked for a Review.... this might help other customers.....here it is ......Dwayne responded to the Homestars Job for Garden Maintenance (helping to clear/put mulch around trees in the yard) He showed up on time, did reasonable work and got paid - so why the 0-1 * rating?? I mentioned that as we use old barrels for burning when needed he offered to get me 6 and drop them off in the next week - I trust people... so gave him $140 cash.... When he/the barrels never showed up.....I contacted him on Homestars and on Aug 28 he said the had been "sick with the flu"......... On Sept 14 he responded saying he had been having "truck trouble" and would do it soon... They never arrived so on when I contacted him again.... he explained he was having "phone and internet" problems....... On October 13 I sent him this "Dwayne, $140 is not worth being reported to the Police, complaints on Homestars/Angies/Google/Kijji etc .... we are available this weekend tell me where we can meet and you return my money- better still drop off my barrels. Now it's mid-November..... no barrels and Dwayne has not yet said "the dog ate my homework" but I am sure it's coming..... So... the 1* is for the work he did (which was OK) the 0*s is because he TOOK MY $140 and never delivered the barrels or returned the money - plus 0* for all the lame excuses.... I actually like Dwayne and appreciated his help but.... taking/keeping my $140 left me with a bad taste.

Over the decades we have had a variety of tradesmen and contractors out to our home. It is RARE that from the first phone call to waving goodbye everything goes extremely well. Mario called, reviewed the job, provided a VERY REASONABLE estimate, showed up on time, did everything needed to repair our eves trough and downspouts properly- finished on time and (despite me asking for help with another eves trough issue) and stuck to his estimate. All in all a great experience. Thanks Mario.

We needed help..... with composite deck replacement and a roof repair on an island! I called Absolute and Derek (a Regional project Manager) came for an on site estimate (free!) He was a solid professional and provided great advice and a fair estimate. The Absolute crew Brandon/Steve arrived on time , did great work and again - acted in a professional manner. I seldom write reviews but..... these guys deserve a 10* rating and now we are looking to have them help with our home in Waterdown. If you have a "handyman job" I would call Absolute Home Services before anyone else.

At every stage of the process our experience with Dean/TEMASTONE was exceptional. We had spoken to/visited a number of countertop installation companies but Dean stood out. His advice was a combination of in depth knowledge and common sense. He listened to what we were wanting to do and provided options. He then worked diligently to ensure that our "vision" for our kitchen was exactly what we had hoped for. His manufacturing crew and installers were excellent and the entire job was done on time and for a very reasonable price. It looks amazing! Thanks Dean, we initially went to you because of your 5 Star reviews and now we see why they are well deserved.

I was stuck.... tub being delivered and lines/drain had to be moved. Aaron found a way to fit me in and they sent Mike (a great plumber with a professional demeanor and quality work). When I forgot something, they sent Mike back in and cleared it up. Their name says it all. We are redoing the water filter next... I will be calling them back

We have used Greenmaids for years every time we rent a place in Vancouver or Burnaby. The service and work quality are always excellent, they communicate well and this last visit was no exception. I am pleased to recommend them 100%. and will be calling them on our next trip to the West Coast. Charles Gervais

BUYER BEWARE: We also met with Ron Clare owner and only "employee" of Barrington Geothermal. We paid a large deposit in good faith and despite repeated promises nothing was ever delivered/installed and Mr Clare has never returned our deposit. After four visits to Small Claims Court in Hamilton we recently obtained a Judgment Sc-06-02779 against Mr Clare and Barrington Geothermal which we are now enforcing. Mr Clare is a personable individual when you meet him but under no circumstances should anyone do business with him or Barrington Geothermal. Now 2 weeks after the Judgment against him, his phones are disconnected and the Barrington website is down - if you also paid for services never received please join with us and report this to the RCMP at https://recol.ca/intro.aspx?lang=en
