Eden provides a good alternative to an annual contract giving you plowing services at a fixed rate per plow. No more of the zero sum game of fixed price per season where either the homeowner or contractor loses if the snow is too much/little. I had used them for 2 years where I was asked in the 2nd year if I wanted to renew, which I did. In the 3rd year I moved to a new home without a driveway and because I was asked to renew before, I didn't think I had to cancel and then got a bill on the first snowfall for plowing my old home! I asked for a refund and they refused. Eden presents themselves as an online service with an offline product. They should follow online service standards (as well as offline plowing services with annual contracts) and ask customers if they wish to renew. To then refuse to refund the charge for plowing someone else's driveway is terrible customer service.

I planned to try and roof mount an antenna myself, but after buying the hardware decided I needed professional help. Chris came to the rescue. He came by the house the day after I called and gave me a reasonable quote, and came back 2 days later to install the antenna I had already purchase. The difference between having the antenna in the house on an upper story and having it on the roof was about 10 channels (I can get about 25 channels now). He tested my TV and explained everything to me clearly. He tidied up all my coax cable on both sides of the house (even the cabling that Rogers had left messy bringing the internet to the house). He's a nice and respectful guy and gave me a great service.

Tony (Dritan) Asani was recommended by a neighbour and we asked him to do a reinforced concrete ramp to replace a small step at the back of our industrial building. The ramp had to support a forklift and regular deliveries of trucks. Tony was knowledgeable and helpful in the design, he reinforced the concrete well and it has worked very well since it was done 6 months ago.

Matt and Adel came on a Saturday morning exactly when scheduled and spent about 6 hours extensively cleaning all our carpets and upholstery. They took away one Persian carpet for special cleaning and brought it back 5 days later. The level of professionalism was very high. They were polite and communicative and took care not to damage anything in the house. The experience from quote to completion and follow-up was excellent. Thanks guys.

We hired Keith Bailey of Infinite Possibilities to do major hardscaping and landscaping in the front and back of our house in 2005. The initial work was acceptable, however after 2 winters the stone work on our front steps fell apart due to salt breaking down the grout (possibly the wrong grout) used to attach the steps. We first asked him to come and fix the problem (still under guarantee) in March 2007. It took him until June to come, with him ignoring our calls for months. The few times he ever called us back, he made commitments which he never kept, and it was only by threatening litigation in September that he finally committed again to complete the work. Once again he committed to do the work by the end of October, and did in fact have the stone we had chosen in September delivered. However, once again the deadline has come and we have not had any contact from Keith. I understand that unreliability, especially with repair work, is the nature of this business, however, Keith has taken this to the extreme and it looks like we will have to take him to court for the costs of having someone else do the work. UPDATE: He did finally arrange to have the work done, but the whole experience was excruciating.

Your detailed account of the service issues dating back to 2005, and the subsequent challenges in getting the necessary repair work completed, is concerning and does not align with the values and customer service standards we have instituted since assuming control of the business. We now perform spring inspections on every project and schedule repairs right away.
