October 5, 2016 - my old thermostat failed and I called Reliance for a replacement. Was told 'not a thermostat, but wiring' After rewiring to no success, they replaced the thermostat with a cheapie they had in the truck and got some activity. Bill claims parts under 1 year warranty. We spent a very uncomfortable winter with wide temp fluctuations. They convinced me that the problems were my fault although their internal reports indicated that the thermostat was the wrong type and might need to be replaced. In spring, the system failed to connect with the air conditioner. They could not return for at least three weeks, so I went to another service organization, who sent me to the original equipment manufacturer. They replaced the thermostat, and system now works fine. Reliance refused to accept return of their thermostat, because I did not use them again.
