Replacing electrical panel and 100 amp service upgrade

Jim and his crew are very professional, on time, on budget and super efficient. They work fast but also do everything to code. The work they did was quickly certified by ESA without an audit. They also do their own disconnect, which made the job faster. Thei prices are well within the quotes I got from other contractors.

Although they squeezed me in between two jobs and started the job 1.5 hours late: they managed to finish on time. They started at 2:30 pm and by 5 pm power was restored and the site was cleaned. Since they were squeezing me between two jobs, Jim kept me informed of their delays at the other job site, so I wasn't in the dark. It was nice to see a contractor care about my time.

I had previously hired another contractor and Surge was 30$ more expensive and well worth it! Although they were extremely busy with commercial jobs at the time, Jim did everything he could to accommodate his schedule to take our job since we were in a desperate situation.

All and all, I would hire Surge Elektrical anytime again!

$1,700.00

Get your panel and service upgraded well before you start any job on a site as it can take a long time to get the paperwork done, which could stall the job. This happened to us!

Restaurant Electrical Overhaul

Our new restaurant needed a complete overhaul of the electrical system as the unit was previously a basic retail space that fell far short of the demanding power needs of a commercial food preparation facility. Time was money and base construction had already began when our main contractor's electrician bailed on the project at the last minute. On the recommendation of a friend and fellow small business operator, we gave Surge a call and had Jim come by the same day to provide an immediate on-site estimate of expected project duration and total cost. They came in with 5% of the original electrician's quote and I was assured by my friend that there would be no problems or the 'games' that some contractors like to play. As with all projects of our size, I would imagine, there were occasional reworkings and oversights of the original design that required extras from all the trades, but Jim at Surge was very reasonable through the process and even brought in extra guys from another one of their sites at the end of the project when there was a major design change at the last minute. Amazingly, with all the changes in our plans, we still came within a week and a half of our target completion date all thanks to the guys at Surge Elektrikal and Delta Construction.
