Son Plumbing

I've hired Matthew twice over the past year to fix leaks/change a trap/fix a faucet and he is the friendliest and most professional contractor I've had the pleasure to work with. His rates are reasonable, he always shows up on time and stays within budget. Matthew has become the only plumber I will even consider hiring!

Pipes froze in the deep freeze a few weeks ago and after isolating the problem and spending several fruitless hours next to the pipes with a heat gun, we decided to call in a professional to ensure the problem pipes did not burst. Son had the best reviews on Homestars and appeared to have the best pricing. We called, got someone to talk to immediately and who, luck would have it, was in the neighborhood. He popped by in ten minutes and finished the job in about the same amount of time. Honest, quick and friendly. Good service. I hated to have to call someone in - but this was easily worth it.

Our pipes froze in the mid January blackout and one of the pipe connections broke. We called Matthew and he and his apprentice came within three hours of our call and fixed it within 30 minutes of being here. He knew what he was doing and even helped us unclog a drain, even though "I don't usually do drains." Thanks, Matthew.

Our kitchen sink was leaking and Matt was able to come quickly at a time that was convenient for us. He fixed the problem very quickly and even offered advice on how to fix our kitchen plumbing in the future. I would certainly use Son plumbing again in the future. After dealing with the larger companies in the past that just seem to want to sell you more this was a far more pleasant experience.

We came home in the evening to no hot water, with the temperature at about -25. We called another company first, and got a paging service, unfortunately, we never got a call back. After 20 minutes, I called Son Plumbing and Matthew arrived about 30 minutes later. He thawed the pipes and raised the temperature of our hot water heater and was pretty much out the door within 30 minutes. We're very pleased with how quickly he showed up (from across town) and how professional is. I definitely recommend him!

Just had to post a positive review for Matthew from Son Plumbing. I called 2 plumbers for estimates for what I suspected was a crack in my old main castiron stack. The first plumber (also
recommended in homestars) told me that it was a complicated job and would need a full day to complete. Luckily, I had arranged for Matt to come over later the same day for a second estimate. He made a list of materials needed and gave me a firm estimate on the spot. He said the job would take him 3-4 hours--which meant his estimate came in at half the price. Wow.! The work was scheduled for the next day. Matt and his assistant showed up on time. The quality of workmanship was excellent as well as the clean up. Matt is not only a very good plumber but also honest, polite, and just an all around nice guy to deal with. I highly recommend Matt and would definitely use again

I had a problem with frozen pipes in my basement. This could have turned into a MAJOR problem if I hadn't called Matthew. He was prompt and took care of this issue for me with exceptional haste. I also appreciate that he took time away from his family during the holidays to help me out.

I have dealt with Matt 2 years ago. I called him late evening and he responded and recalled the earlier visit from the address . He had family commitment and could come only after 9.00 PM. On the dot he came.Checked out went & got spares and did a good job. He is very kind,courteous,and a nice person to deal with always smiling.

He takes pride in his job and is clean,and ensures after the job the are is well cleaned and well looked after.

His rates are very reasonable and is just the type to deal with.

Earlier I had recommended him to another friend and he too liked him. Second opinion counts.

These guys work fast, and efficiently. No surprises, just in and out with a pleasant experience. They even swept up afterwards, and helped me pull out an old counter top that was in the way of them doing their job. Would have them back in a heartbeat.
